Additional Info

Mumbo's Skull is a recurring location in the Banjo-Kazooie series. It is the home of Mumbo Jumbo.

In the Games

Banjo-Kazooie

In Banjo-Kazooie, the skull appears in various levels, with Mumbo offering a different transformation in each level. Mumbo's Skull in this game is a one-floor structure featuring some torches, a large throne-like chair where Mumbo sits, a pad shaped like Mumbo's face (where the transformation takes place) and some rafters that can be walked across.

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie the skull is a much larger structure, boasting two separate floors and a green light in the centre of the first. The skull is in every level. Mumbo sits on the second floor in his chair, and he is now a playable character.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Mumbo's Skull (referred to as Mumbo's Pad) appears in the game's worlds. In this game, Mumbo will allow the player to transform Banjo into any of six creatures in the worlds, so long as they have collected the respective Mumbo Totem. The transformations in this game can be used in more than one world, a difference from previous games. However, if a transformation has no use in the current world the player is in, they will not be able to go any farther than past the doorway of Mumbo's Pad.

The exterior of Mumbo's Pad in this game resembles Mumbo's Skull as it appeared in Banjo-Tooie. The interior, while somewhat similar, contains a few differences: it contains a large flashy pad in the center. While Mumbo is transforming Banjo, a disco ball also appears from the roof.
