Mumbo Crates are items in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Description

Mumbo Crates are small purple crates, marked with a skull insignia, containing vehicle parts.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Mumbo Crates are scattered throughout Showdown Town. In order to add a crate's parts to the player's part store, it must be taken to a pink square just by Mumbo's Motors. Talking to Mumbo will then give the parts to the player. In the game, there are 57 total Mumbo Crates, 7 of which are Stop 'n' Swop Crates. Each crate has a number, which corresponds to the order they are meant to be gotten in (although most of them can be gotten out of order). Some of the crates in the game are guarded by ghosts. Using the Horn (which is won from the Terrarium of Terror's Grunty Challenge) will make the ghosts leave their perch, allowing the crate to be collected. The game also features challenge-specific Mumbo boxes in the game worlds, which contain parts that can be attached to a vehicle during certain challenges (usually L.O.G.'s Choice challenges). These boxes can be opened with a simple whack with the wrench.
