Napper is a minor character in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Biography
Napper is an enormous green ghost with a tendency to fall asleep. However, he has very sharp hearing and will awaken at the slightest noise.
In the Games
Banjo-Kazooie
In Banjo-Kazooie, Napper appears in the entrance room of Mad Monster Mansion. He is sitting on a table, guarding a Jiggy and a Flight Pad. If the player enters from the doorway, it is impossible to get his Jiggy, as he will hear Banjo as soon as his feet touch the wooden flooring. Instead, it is required to climb to the top of the mansion, and jump down the fireplace. From the fireplace, there is a clear path of chairs leading to the table. As long as Banjo doesn't touch the floor, Napper will not hear him. After getting on the table, all that's left to do is walk straight into Napper's body and steal the Jiggy. He will awaken in a fright, comment about how much trouble he's going to be in when Gruntilda finds out, and float away.
