Nipper is a minor character in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Biography

Nipper is a large hermit crab creature located near one of the shores of Treasure Trove Cove in Banjo-Kazooie. He becomes quite hostile when the bear and bird approach him, clawing at them in hopes of getting rid of them.

In The Games

Banjo-Kazooie

In Banjo-Kazooie, Nipper appears in Treasure Trove Cove. Upon first meeting Nipper, he will offer to help you find some treasure, at least until Kazooie offends him. After the exchange of a bit of pre-fight banter, he will begin swinging and snapping his claws at the duo multiple times. However, after every few snips of his claws he will take a rest, at which point Kazooie must use her Rat-a-Tat Rap on Nipper's eyes. After damaging him a few times in this fashion, Nipper will retreat back into his shell. The bird and bear must then walk inside Nipper's shell to collect the Jiggy that is waiting for them. Oddly, although he retreats into his shell after defeat, he is nowhere to be found when Banjo and Kazooie go inside it.
