The main attraction of Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is luring wild Piñata to visit your garden and making them a resident. Once resident piñatas fulfil certain requirements they are able to perform their romance dance, after witch an egg will be delivered by Storkos.

There are a number of different piñata variations, obtained mainly by Piñatas eating various produce, fruit, vegetables or plants to turn into different colours. Piñatas are also able to evolve into entirely new species.
