Biography

Piddles is a female purple cat with a long, fluffy tail and large whiskers.

In the Games

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Piddles first appears when she is called forth by the Lord of Games after Gruntilda asks him what he has for her, as he gave Banjo and Kazooie a Magic Wrench. Upon first seeing Piddles, Grunty looks at the cat in disgust and gives her a good swift kick, laughing maliciously. Unfortunately, this backfires, as Piddles is not one to take abuse, and fights back by biting the power supply on Grunty's robot body.

Piddles then appears alongside Grunty in Showdown Town and in all of the game's worlds. In Nutty Acres, Piddles also appears by herself during the Cheatin' Witch challenge in Act 4, hosted by Trophy Thomas, in which Banjo and Kazooie must beat Piddles in a race around the island in order to win. In LOGBOX 720, Grunty's plan during the Flush the Floater challenge in Act 3 involves having Piddles use the console's glubber pipes as a litter box and leave a "floater", which would force Bottles to shut the console down. She challenges Banjo and Kazooie to a race around the glubber pool at the top floor of the console, calling off her plan when they defeat her. In Banjoland, Piddles mans the turret of Grunty's spring-based attack vehicle during the Spring Break! challenge in Act 4.

At the end of the game, Grunty and Piddles are both warped away to the Lord of Games' video game factory, having lost the competition, leaving Banjo and Kazooie with the full deeds to Spiral Mountain. A quick scene inside the factory shows Piddles bossing Grunty around as the hag sweeps up and moves boxes around. Oddly, in the game's ending, Piddles can actually speak, although she remains silent in the rest of the game, aside from generic cat sounds.

Trivia

  • If the player stands near Piddles, she will occasionally turn to Banjo and hiss at him.
