Pirate Lagoon is the eleventh course that appears in Diddy Kong Racing, and its remake Diddy Kong Racing DS.

Balloon Costs
To be able to race in Pirate Lagoon, the player must have at least thirteen balloons. To do the track's Silver Coin Challenge, the player must have acquired twenty balloons or more.
Available Vehicles
The only vehicle available to the player in any mode (adventure or single race) is a Hovercraft.
Other
In the Nintendo 64 version, this course shares its background music with Treasure Caves. However, in the Nintendo DS version, this level was given completely new music (while the Treasure Caves music stayed the same).
