Biography
Rubble was recovered by the King of the Sixth Age, when the Elves discovered a remote cave on the peak of a distant mountain. Climbing to the top of this mountain was a difficult and lengthy journey that cost several lives, but the King was at last successful. Rubble ensured that the soil underfoot would always be fertile and produce good, healthy crops. In combat, his abilities helped the Royals to turn the tide of many battles. Those were difficult times, as the Elves struggled to bring peace to the land, but Rubble ensured many victories as his powers trapped bandits under many tons of earth and stone and split the very earth itself to swallow up an approaching army.[1]
History and Development
In the Game
Rubble is rescued from a Shadow Troll upon first entering the Forgotten Forest. Besides general combat, Rubble can chip his rocks around to solve puzzles. He can also gather the rocks in Mountain Falls to build a bridge.
Abilities
- Sling Stone - Throw a low flying stone with the right trigger.
- Stone Chip - Throw a high flying stone with the left trigger. Used in puzzles.
- Gravel Blast - Rubble detonates after holding the left and right triggers, losing everything but his head.
- Razor Stone - Adds spikes to Rubble's stones which stick to enemies and deal damage.
- Rapid Charge - Increases the speed of charge for both Gravel Blast and Stone Storm.
- Stone Storm - Allows Rubble to aim his stones in a single direction. Aim with the control stick while charging Gravel Blast.
In the Manga
Rubble only appears in a mechanical form in the manga. These mecha forms of the Warriors were designed by the Trolls to compensate for a lack of magic.
