Biography

The Saucer of Peril is a sentient flying saucer that serves as a ride in Witchyworld. It at first appeared that the saucer had something of a speech impediment, replacing 'S's with 'Z's (similar to Zubbas), yet oddly, later on, this lisp disappeared and the Saucer began starting and ending all sentences with "bleep".

In the Games

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, the Saucer is first discovered in a crate in the Fuel Depot of Glitter Gulch Mine, and must be freed by blowing up the rocks that blocked the passageway with dynamite. It then travels through the tunnel to Witchyworld, where it emerges from its box and remains on a podium high up in the Space Zone, waiting to be powered up. When Mumbo performs this feat, the ride is officially open for business.

The ride consists of a ride around all of Witchyworld, visiting the Star Spinner, the Crazy Castle Stockade, the Horror Zone and finally Area 51, where the ride comes to an end. During the ride, Banjo has an infinite supply of eggs to shoot various targets adorning the track; the targets were colour-coded in the game's usual pattern of 1 for a red, 2 for a green and 3 for a blue. Scoring 400 points or more merits a Cheato Page; over 500 wins a Jiggy.

The Saucer of Peril also appears in the game's ending sequence; while Banjo and company are playing kickaround with Gruntilda's head, Captain Blubber flies around on the Saucer of Peril, presumably having won it in the contest at Jolly's.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the Saucer of Peril appears in Showdown Town, crashed into the beaches of the town. Blubber apparently arrived in the town by crash-landing there. One of the challenges in Terrarium of Terror is called "The Saucer of Peril Returns," and plays similarly to the Banjo-Tooie Saucer of Peril minigame (although the vehicle used in this challenge is not the real Saucer of Peril, but a replica).

Banjo-Pilot

In Banjo-Pilot, the Saucer of Peril appears as an item. When used, it follows another racer and slams into them, causing them to temporarily stop. It can be avoided with a barrel roll.
