Description
Screech is an evil, brown/red-feathered parrot who resembles Squawks.
In the Games
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Screech appears in the game's final regular level, Screech's Sprint. Halfway through this level, the player (after transforming Diddy and Dixie into Squawks, must race Screech through a bramble-infested maze to reach the end of the level. This is made fairly difficult due to the player being surrounded by brambles on all side, combined with Screech's speediness. If the player fails to beat Screech, it costs them one life. If the player succeeds, however, then access to The Flying Krock, Kaptain K. Rool's airship hideout, is finally gained.
Donkey Kong Land 2
In Donkey Kong Land 2, Screech serves the same purpose as in Donkey Kong Country 2; the player must race him in order to reach the Flying Krock.
