Showdown Town is the hub world in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is a large town where the Lord of Games transports Banjo, Kazooie and Gruntilda when he steps in to settle their feud over Spiral Mountain's ownership.
Showdown Town is very large and features many buildings and homes. Many of the buildings have doors which lead to "acts" of each of the five challenge worlds.
L.O.G. disallows Banjo and Kazooie from using any vehicle other than a default one resembling a shopping trolley while in Showdown Town. This trolley is automatically upgraded with certain key vehicle parts after completing a Grunty Challenge, allowing access to more of the town.
Showdown Town is mostly populated by pigs, rhinos and penguins. The police force is headed by the corrupt Pikelet, and the force mainly consists of weasels. The town is where L.O.G. is headquartered, his video game factory overlooking the town from the center. Many characters from previous Banjo-Kazooie games have also taken up residence in the town at the time of Nuts & Bolts including Bottles, who works as the town's tourist information officer; Mumbo Jumbo, who runs the garage where Banjo and Kazooie build their vehicles; Humba Wumba, who runs a shop where the duo can buy vehicle parts and blueprints; Klungo, who runs a gaming arcade; King Jingaling, who runs a bingo hall in town; the Jinjos; Boggy, who runs a gym; Jolly Dodger, who has become a Jiggy smuggler; Captain Blubber; and Mr. Fit. Newcomer Trophy Thomas, a cocky athlete, also resides in the town.

Districts
Town Square
The Town Square is the main area of central hub of the town. It contains Mumbo's Motors, the Jiggy Bank, the Nutty Acres game world doors, Humba Wumba's shop, Bottles' tourist information kiosk, and the Lord of Games' Video Game Factory, where the Spiral Mountain warp door is located, towering over the rest of the town, in the very center on a hill. Grunty and Piddles also hang out here.
Theater District
The Theater District makes up the lowest part of the town, a mostly narrow area surrounded by very tall buildings. This area contains a headless statues holding what appears to be a Mumbo skull. The Theater District also houses the LOGBOX 720 game world doors, in an area painted to look forested.
Lakeshore
The Lakeshore is an area with a large lake. Trophy Thomas's house can be found here, as well as the Banjoland game world doors, around a boathouse. The Lakeshore is directly adjacent to the Uptown, the upper area of the Theater District, and sits just above Town Square.
Docks
The Docks of town consist of a rather large area. Located within are, of course, the docks themselves, with many ships and cranes, a construction site where the Jiggosseum game world doors are located, Boggy's Gym, and the Showdown Town police station, where Pikelet hangs out.
Seaside
The Seaside area of town, as implied by the name, is just on the ocean shore. This area contains the pier, where Klungo's Arcade is located, King Jingaling's Bingo Palace, a lighthouse, and a small island just offshore. Jolly Dodger can be found hanging out on the seaside, pawning his dubiously-obtained Jiggies. The Saucer of Peril is also found here, having been crashed by Captain Blubber.
Uptown
The Uptown consists of an elevated, closed off neighborhood populated by the richer denizens of town. Located here are the Terrarium of Terror game world doors. The down-on-his luck Captain Blubber can also be found just outside the main Uptown area, covered in dirt after having crashed his flying saucer in the Seaside.

Jiggy Tamper Switches
Showdown Town has five other Jiggies which can only be found by activating Jiggy Tamper Switches, which add a free Jiggy to the Jiggy Bank. These are hidden in various locations in town.
- Located on top of the Lord of Games' Video Game Factory. This switch will not work until at least one other Jiggy is earned.
- Located in the water just under Klungo's Arcade.
- Located in a tunnel in a cave under the lighthouse on the Seaside.
- Located in a tunnel in the hill on which L.O.G.'s factory sits. It can be accessed from an underwater tunnel on the bottom of the hill that will only open once the trolley is equipped with the Scuba Seat.
- On a small balcony in the Uptown area of town. To get it requires climbing a wire to the top of the buildings, and then climbing down another wire on the other side of the building.

Trivia
- Showdown Town is purportedly sixteen times larger than any other single game map created by Rare.
- Showdown Town's music contains portions of the music from Jinjo Village. The variation of the song played at the Docks also contains a nod to Rusty Bucket Bay's musical theme.
- Every time the player enters Showdown Town, the time of day is randomly selected. The possible times of day are morning, afternoon, evening, and night.
- One of the background elements just outside Showdown Town is Ghoulhaven Hall, the large mansion which serves as the setting of Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Ghoulies also contained many Banjo-Kazooie series nods, having been developed by the same team at Rare.
- During the "12 Questions of Christmas" thread on The Rare Witch Project Forums, where developer Gregg Mayles answered fan questions about the game as a 2007 Christmas treat, he answered a question about the game's hub world, stating: "You've seen Grunty's Lair and Isle o' Hags, now get ready for "Conflagration Violent" (work this out and you'll have the answer to one of richjonny's questions)"[1] (user richjonny posed a question about the game's worlds). It is possible that "Conflagration Violent" is an anagram for "Confrontation Village," which is in turn a synonym for the hub world's true name, "Showdown Town."
