Star City

Star City is the twentieth course that appears in Diddy Kong Racing, and its remake Diddy Kong Racing DS.

Balloon Costs
To be able to race in Star City, the player must have at least forty-two balloons. To do the track's Silver Coin Challenge, the player must have acquired forty-six balloons or more.
Available Vehicles
For the initial race and the Silver Coin Challenge, the player must use a Car.
For single race, the player can also choose from a Hovercraft or Plane.
Other
The difference from the Nintendo 64 track and the Nintendo DS track is that when the player falls off the bridge towards the beginning of the level there's an alcove under the sphere to go through, so the player doesn't have to backtrack. In the original, if a player fell they had to turn around and go across the bridge again, which was a major setback and could even potentially cost the player the race.
