Stonies are minor characters in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Biography
Stonies are mysterious squat stone characters with large stone headdresses and emerald eyes. Stonies speak in a strange language that no-one but they can understand. This language seems to contain some thinly-veiled insults towards Banjo and Kazooie (featuring phrases such as "kaz-o-iee dim byrd datsrite ha ha"). Stonies are also notable for their love of kickball. However, the sport is not Stony-exclusive; Jinjos and moles have also been known to play.
In the Games
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, Stonies appear in both Mayahem Temple and Hailfire Peaks. In Mayahem Temple, they give hints while Banjo is in his Stony form, and he also must play Mayan Kickball against a group of them. In Hailfire Peaks, a different form of Mayan Kickball is played.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cameo)
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, inanimate Stonies appear in the Mayahem Temple area of Banjoland (which revolves around Mayan Kickball).
