The T-Rex is a transformation in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
In the Games
Banjo-Kazooie (Cameo)
In Banjo-Kazooie, there is a random chance that, during any given transformation, Mumbo will tell Banjo that he is going to turn him into a large T-Rex. When the spell finishes however, Banjo will still be his normal self, and Mumbo will remark that he has changed his mind, and decided to "save that for next game".
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, the T-Rex is used in Terrydactyland. It is available at Humba Wumba's wigwam in two different forms, the Baby T-Rex and the Daddy T-Rex, the first obtained with a glowbo and the latter only available after Mumbo Jumbo has used his 'Enlarge' spell to increase the size of the wigwam.
Baby T-Rex
The Baby T-Rex can walk around and, once learnt how (by speaking to a fellow dinosaur), it is able to roar to open doors. The transformation is useful in that it can aid Banjo and Kazooie by collecting various jiggies and jinjos towards the Terrydactyland world total. The Baby T-Rex is only small but it is fairly agile.
Daddy T-Rex
The Daddy T-Rex is much bigger and louder than its smaller counterpart. It can roar to kill enemies (including the Unga Bungas), and can press huge switches. Its main disadvantage is that it is much slower than Banjo and Kazooie or the Baby T-Rex.
