Biography
Targitzan is apparently the Mayan god of target-shooting. He is an enormous segmented stone totem pole with targets on each segment. His upper segments all have faces, which shoot darts.

Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, Targitzan serves as the boss of Mayahem Temple.
The Fight
Targitzan is widely recognised as a difficult boss for such an early stage in the game. Like most Banjo-Tooie bosses, his fight had a fixed pattern. He is the only boss to be fought in Breegull Blaster mode.
He begins by rotating on the spot. As his first segment only has targets, and no dart-shooting faces, it is impossible to get hurt at this stage. When all the targets have been hit, the bottom segment explodes.
After a segment has been destroyed, Targitzan takes a breather (during which his targets are disabled) and sets a Moggi on Banjo and Kazooie. As soon as the Moggi has been killed, Targitzan reactivates, continuing to spin.
As the fight continues, the number of faces on the bottom-most segment and the number of Moggies who appear increases. Once all of Targitzan's segments have been destroyed, he activates his "Sacred Self-Destruct" - that is, he explodes, firing darts everywhere. If the player survives this, a Jiggy is theirs.
The arena contains some defences - large stone rectangles, which shrink whenever they are hit by a dart. As they are some distance away from Targitzan himself, many players choose simply not to use this, except to avoid the Sacred Self-Destruct at the end.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cameo)
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a statue resembling Targitzan appears in the Mayahem Temple section of Banjoland (which revolves around Mayan Kickball), which serves as merely the dispenser of the kickballs. A model of him can be found at the bottom of the Banjoland pool area as well.
