Terrarium of Terror is fifth of five game worlds in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is essentially a literal terrarium floating in outer space, made up of interconnecting tubes and chambers. The Terrarium features rocket-propelled billboards floating outside of it, advertising things such as the Witchyworld amusement park and a lending institution owned by Snacker.

The Saucer of Peril Returns

Great Balls of Gas

Description: A toxic fungus is poisoning the atmosphere and must be taken up high before it implodes. It gets heavier as it rises, so you'll need a powerful lifting or carrying vehicle. (Player's Choice)

Intergalactic Binman

Description: Grunty has dumped a load of 1980s space junk in the terrarium. Gather up this rubbish with a pushing or carrying vehicle and throw it in the airlock to get rid of it. (Player's Choice)

Trivia
- The level's introduction sequence is a spoof of the introduction to the television series Lost in Space.
- Terrarium of Terror's music features a portion of Mad Monster Mansion mixed in, with what seem to be Minjo voices chanting along with it.
- During Act 2, Boggy (as "B-066Y") holds two different challenges (Great Balls of Gas, The Saucer of Peril Returns) in two different areas of the game world, making Terrarium of Terror the only world in the game where a challenge host recurs twice in the same act. A third Boggy, dressed in his normal outfit, pilots the Saucer of Peril in The Saucer of Peril Returns. If the player pauses the game and uses the photo mode at the beginning of the challenge, the challenge-host Boggy and the saucer-pilot Boggy can be seen simultaneously.
- Besides Spiral Mountain (and the L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges DLC), this is the only world in the game with less than six acts.
