In Donkey Kong Country Returns, Tikis serve as the main antagonists, replacing the long-running Kremlings. They hypnotize most of the animals on Donkey Kong Island into steal Donkey Kong's banana hoard, prompting him to set off with Diddy Kong to stop them and get his bananas back.
