Tintops are metal-shelled security droids.

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Tintops appear in Grunty Industries. They, together with the Spy-I-Cams, make up the factory's security system. When a Spy-I-Cam spots an intruder (the player), it sounds an alarm and summons the Tintops, who attack in groups by ganging up on and shocking the player. Tintops can be defeated with a Grenade Egg whenever their shell is open, although when one Tintop is defeated, another will appear to take its place. The best strategy is to destroy a Spy-I-Cam before it can sound the alarm and then quickly move through a room before it respawns, thus avoiding the Tintops altogether.
