The Tow Bar is a vehicle part in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is a gadget which, when two are placed facing each other, will allow disconnected vehicle sections to be towed behind the vehicle via a beam of light.
The Tow Bar is one of the few vehicle parts that is not allowed to be used during multiplayer. The reason is likely because the Tow Bar's only practical use is on disconnected vehicles, which are themselves disallowed from multiplayer.
In-Game Description
“Tow other vehicles when bear's tow bar touches other tow bar. Not in multiplayer though, compound vehicles mess up game.”
