In the Games
Banjo-Kazooie
In Banjo-Kazooie, transformations are performed by Mumbo Jumbo in his hut, for a specified price in Mumbo Tokens. All of the transformations affect only Banjo. The transformations in the game include:
- A termite in Mumbo's Mountain, for 5 Mumbo Tokens. The termite can scale slopes that are too slippery for Kazooie to handle and fit into small spaces.
- A crocodile in Bubblegloop Swamp, for 10 Mumbo Tokens. The crocodile has the ability to bite foes and fit into small spaces.
- A walrus in Freezeezy Peak, for 15 Mumbo Tokens. The walrus is immune to the freezing water in Freezeezy Peak, can get a Jiggy from Wozza, and fit into small spaces.
- A pumpkin in Mad Monster Mansion, for 20 Mumbo Tokens. The pumpkin can fit into very small spaces.
- A bee in Click Clock Wood (Springtime only), for 25 Mumbo Tokens. The Bee can fly without Red Feathers and fit into small spaces.
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, transformations are performed by Humba Wumba in her wigwam, for a single Glowbo each. All of the normal transformations affect only Banjo. The transformations in the game include:
- A Stony, in Mayahem Temple. The Stony can use a shoulder barge attack, play Mayan Kickball, talk to other Stonies, and fit into small spaces.
- A TNT detonator in Glitter Gulch Mine. The detonator can use an explosion attack (which damages itself as well as the baddies), and blow up rocks which are blocking the way to areas of the mine.
- An armored van in Witchyworld. The van is invincible, can run over baddies to kill them, pay tolls for certain areas of the park, and enter doors marked with a van symbol.
- A mini-submarine in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. The submarine can utilize a pinging attack and fire an unlimited amount of torpedoes.
- A T-Rex in Terrydactyland. The T-Rex has two different forms; a Baby T-Rex and a Daddy T-Rex. The Baby T-Rex can only roar quietly, and the Daddy T-Rex has the ability to roar loudly and crush baddies by stepping on them.
- A washing machine in Grunty Industries. The washing machine can shoot soggy underpants as an attack, and is allowed to access the staff elevators and locked-off rooms of the factory.
- A snowball in Hailfire Peaks. The snowball can press heavy switches when at full health, grows or shrinks depending on its current amount of health, and can roll at high speeds.
- A bee in Cloud Cuckooland. The bee can fly and shoot an unlimited amount of stingers.
- A dragon in the Isle o' Hags. This is a special transformation that only affects Kazooie, and requires the power of the Mega-Glowbo. The dragon can breathe fire and has an infinite supply of Fire Eggs. It can also be used in any world without restriction.
Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge
In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, transformations are again performed by Mumbo in his "pad," in exchange for Mumbo Tokens. All of the transformations affect only Banjo and they can all be used in any world. The transformations in the game include:
- A mouse, first used in Cliff Farm. The mouse can fit in small spaces and gnaw on cables and ropes.
- A candle, first used in Bad Magic Bayou. The candle can do a fire spin attack and light dark areas.
- An octopus, first used in Spiller's Harbor. The octopus can survive in cold water and spit water balls.
- A tank, first used in Freezing Furnace. The tanks can fire cannonballs to destroy enemies and doors.
