Biography

Tricky is a Triceratops, whom is in charge of Dino Domain on Timber's Island.

In the Games

Diddy Kong Racing

In Diddy Kong Racing Tricky is the first boss. His first race, he just runs and races the player, but after the player completes the Silver Coin Challenge of Dino Domain, he's faster, harder, and his platform summons falling trees. He was brainwashed by Wizpig (along with Bluey, Smokey, and possibly Bubbler), and after his defeat is seen celebrating with Diddy and Pipsy

Diddy Kong Racing DS

In Diddy Kong Racing DS, Tricky has remained unchanged. The only difference from that of the original is that his second race has no falling trees and he employs Balloon Challenges instead of the Silver Coin challenge of latter.

For his touch challenge the player must draw their path with the stylus while racing him while spinning the Car's tire.

Other

A dinosaur named Prince Tricky also appears in Star Fox Adventures. The characters are substantially different, however, Rare has stated that the characters are meant to be the same.[1] However, the character was far more similar to the Diddy Kong Racing Tricky in the pre-release version of the game, Dinosaur Planet, before Star Fox characters were added to it. Although the intention was to make them the same character, Nintendo now owns the rights to the Prince Tricky character in the Star Fox series. So legally, the two characters are different.

In Star Fox Adventures, Tricky is the prince of the EarthWalker from the planet Sauria and serves as Fox McCloud's companion in Star Fox Adventures, in which Tricky performs tasks for Fox, such as digging or breathing fire, when fed GrubTubs (a mushroom-like food). He can open small caves and act as a digger, among other abilities. He is made an honorary Star Fox member by Fox at the end of Adventures. In his second appearance in Star Fox: Assault , Tricky has physically matured, and is now the king of the EarthWalker tribe. After Fox and Krystal save his kingdom from the Aparoids, he promises to help repair Sauria. He was voiced by Kevin Bayliss in Star Fox Adventures, and Chet Morgan in Star Fox: Assault. In the Japanese version of Star Fox: Assault, he is voiced by Hirohiko Kakegawa, who also voiced Beltino and James McCloud in the same game. Tricky also cameos in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a collectible trophy.
