Warp Pad
From RWP Wiki
Warp Pads, introduced in Banjo-Tooie, are pads used for warping from one part of a level to another. They are circular metal pads on the ground scattered sparingly throughout each level. They feature an animated design of a blue spiral on a lighter blue background.
Warp Pads are activated by walking near them. Once a Warp Pad is activated, the player can use it to warp to any other activated Warp Pad within the same level. This was a highly useful feature in the game, which tended to feature levels which were much larger than in Banjo-Kazooie.
Most levels contained five Warp Pads; however, Cloud Cuckooland contained only two. This was because it was relatively quick to get anywhere in the level through flight or use of the Blastaplants. Cauldron Keep featured two Warp Pads - one at the level's entrance and one at the very top.
There are no Warp Pads on the Isle o' Hags, where Silos are used instead.
There are also Warp Pads in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. They serve as a method of getting around the hub world, Showdown Town quicker. The Warp Pads in this game look different and are colored gold.
