Whirlweeds are evil seaweed creatures.

Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, Whirlweeds appear in the Seaweed Sanctum in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. At first, they appear to be normal patches of seaweed, although once the player approaches, they begin to attack by spinning wildly. They can be easily defeated with most attacks.
