Description
Zubbas are large wasps suffering from a speech impediment causing them to pronounce the letter "S" as the letter "Z".
In the Games
Banjo-Kazooie
In Banjo-Kazooie, Zubbas appear in a beehive in Click Clock Wood. During Summertime, they will be guarding a Jiggy for Gruntilda, and will attack Banjo if he enters during this time. If all of them are defeated, the Jiggy is won. They are later seen moving out of the hive during Autumn, and by Winter their hive is abandoned and destroyed.
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie the Zubbas appear in Cloud Cuckooland, in a hive on top of the mountain. Banjo can only enter the hive while under the effects of the bee transformation. To enter, a stinger must be shot at the Zinger bullseye at the very top of the mountain, and the entrance will open for a brief period of time. Inside, Bee Banjo can participate in a Zubba shootout minigame. Winning this game earns a Jiggy.
Some Zubbas also appear in other areas of Cloud Cuckooland. These Zubbas are vicious and will attack Banjo by flying into him if he comes near. They can be easily defeated with a Rat-a-Tat Rap.
