Banjo was in it, but Kazooie wasn't.

I've beaten Diddy Kong Racing the regular mode and I don't remember any keys.

Fenikku 3rd September 2005 02:09 PM

You get the keys that open up the minigames, such as icicle pyramid and Smokey's castle.

GameandWatch33 3rd September 2005 04:02 PM

Yeah, just a small observation. They used the same model. Like in the instance of the DK64 fanfare, just another example of rare's laziness.

zxzxi 3rd September 2005 04:31 PM

Oh yeah now I remember the keys. lol, I remember the one where you had to turn around and climb up the drawbridge. It's hard to win a race when you have to go backwards.

hatrickpatrick 3rd September 2005 05:15 PM

You do realise that the general idea is to get the key AFTER you've one the race, right? >_>

GameandWatch33 3rd September 2005 05:27 PM

Lol.

Back on topic, how goes the research hatrick?

Yeah I know. I never said I collected them before I ever won the race.

Okay, back to the subject.

hatrickpatrick 7th September 2005 05:36 PM

I should be better by the weekend, and I will, at last, start the GV crypt.

Again, sorry for all the delays.

GameandWatch33 7th September 2005 05:57 PM

Don't worry about it man, you deserve a break. Great job on what you have found so far. And here is to what you will find in the future.

You had no right to say that. *rolls eyes* If you don't have something nice to say, keep it to yourself. Thanks.

Fenikku 8th September 2005 12:57 AM

Sorry I haven't posted in a while guys, life has been crazy since school started. By the way, I feel obliged as he who restarted this thread to help with hacking in any way possible, and I have lately been Clipping most walls and whathaveyou. I'm here for help.

Kratos_Aurion 12th September 2005 07:31 PM

I just had a random thought while at school...considering I know pretty much nothing about how games work, I could be wrong, but couldn't the Beauty Room doors be similar to the pipe glitch in Super Mario 64? In case you don't know what I'm talking about, they used a Chuckya to go into the pipe in Wet Dry World, and the managed to set it so the loading point didn't load. They just had a blank background inside of the pipe, and they couldn't get to the city. No level geometry. All that they could do was swim. Maybe the Beauty Room doors are like that in reverse. You have to have something for the loading point to load behind the door.

Without sounding rude.. I kinda agree. This whole SNS thing, as much as I was all for it a month or two ago is getting insanely boring and time consuming.. for what?

I am also not trying to sound rude but, nobdy forces you to read up on this stuff or even click on the topic. That is one of the greatest things about most parts of the world today, your right to choose.

No,I think that he means that there's not any advancement.
It's only theory and always theroy,we don't go far with only theory...

You'll maybe hate me but I really think that S'n'S has been removed from the game.
It's like searching for the Unicorn foutain (the old version of the fairy foutain) in OOT,it's Ereased, nothing else.

Yes,maybe they forget some stuffs like text or items, but nothing else.
I don't even think that the rooms of the S'n'S (if there's any) is still there.

The really job of the S'n'S for now was to try to find them.
That was the last step of B-K and nothing else.

Well yes, maybe in the past, there was a link beetween B-K and B-T and even D-K but now there's nothing.

We will never get farter with only theory, sorry to say that but it's true.

First of all, "You'll hate me but I think sns has been removed" ,what is new? A lot of people are made up on the fact it isn't there in full, a lot of just looking for ways it would have worked and any left overs. Yeah, maybe there will be some text etc, that is all most are searching for anyway.

Theories do get to new places, theories of gameshark codes and events, have actually lead to tiny more bits of knowledge about SNS.

hatrickpatrick 14th September 2005 11:46 AM

I've always said it's probably not fully in BK. All I'm trying to point out is that unless rareware lied flat our from the start, which I still doubt, then the BK end of it has to still be in there. I still dont believe it was removed before BKs release, rather after BK's but before BT's. Whether I'm right or not we'll just have to find out.

I'm agree with you, why Rare will have removed the S'n'S in 1998, when they thought it could be done.

In my opinion the SnS has been removed after the failure of the 64DD or the "special cadridge".

hatrickpatrick 14th September 2005 06:20 PM

In which case, the beginning of it still should be in BK

GameandWatch33 14th September 2005 07:30 PM

Right, just the BT trigger was taken out of BT, so....what was the code that was to stay in N64 memory from BT, and activate the SNS stuff in BK? Or even the code from DK64 that was to trigger it?

dmoss 17th September 2005 04:43 AM

Hi, guys. I apologize in advance, because I'm almost sure this subject has come up before. I was playing BK at BGS, and I can't remember exactly, but aren't there 4 Croctuses? Order: Blue, Green, Red, Purple. Incidently, these are the egg colors that are in the middle of the SnS screen. I dunno...perhaps we could try getting the eggs in this order? (Like I said, I imagine someone brought this up before...) Could someone at least check it out, though? I don't have a Game Shark. I hope maybe this was helpful in some way!

-daniel

hatrickpatrick 17th September 2005 11:53 AM

Right, folks, I'm back and well.

I dont think the croctus thing has EVER been mentioned, good job spotting it...
I'll have a look later on...

Fenikku 17th September 2005 12:47 PM

Wow, nice observation skills there, dmoss. I'm here to do whatever you guys need, so give me something to do or check with clipping and i'll get right on it.

tellyjelly 17th September 2005 06:45 PM

okay, so bt was supposed to unlock the eggs and key in bk?

what would then be done with the items? transferred back into bt? that seems a bit pointless...

on rareware maintaining that s'n's would still make an appearence while bk was being developed, even though they clearly removed it... they were trying to sell the game perhaps?

it is an industry, after all.

dmoss 17th September 2005 11:34 PM

Wow! I feel like I finally made some kind of contribution! But, we should probably check the actual order of the Croctuses...to make certain that the order is really the way I listed above. It was late, and I hadn't played the game for a few hours prior to that. I hope to go search on eBay for a Game Shark, then I can really help out! Thanks, guys!

-daniel

EDIT:

Oh, I suppose I should mention the fact that the croctuses' bodies are actually all golden, however, their EYES change color; not their entire bodies. Each appears as the other disappears. You know...

Golden 18th September 2005 10:23 AM

Actually there are 5 croctuses, Green, Blue, Red, Pink, Purple

thebanjo 18th September 2005 11:37 AM

errrrrrrrr, what is a crotuse ? a tortle ? :(

Klungo 18th September 2005 11:51 AM

The golden crocodiles. You can find one near the start of BGS.

Fenikku 18th September 2005 09:50 PM

I guess you could try the 4 that have color matching eggs in order.

Klungo 18th September 2005 11:59 PM

I thought of a theory today at dinner. Remember how hatrickpatrick said that when he entered the code for the six eggs without the key the ice wall was gone? Maybe we have to collect the six eggs using the sandcastle and then go to the ice wall and it will be gone. I mean after all the ice key code says that you can have the key for free. Could someone please try this? I can't since I got the key using the sandcastle and not my theory.

AlmostJinkies 19th September 2005 03:02 AM

I hate to say it, but most of us have probably done that already, without realizing it. But still, there could be a special order to the eggs. If I remember correctly, the five golden crocodiles, unlike the Tiptup theory, correspond with 5 egg colors, so dmoss's theory would definitely be worth a look.

hatrickpatrick 19th September 2005 07:19 PM

I'm going to try both of those tomorrow, they could lead us to something

Wily 19th September 2005 10:10 PM

I try your trick Hatrick P.
With TOOTY!
I collected the 6 eggs first but if I go to Wozzas cave the ice wall wasn´t away.
Maybe you have to activate the key code.

dmoss 20th September 2005 01:57 PM

Crud! I guess I must've forgotten about one of the Croctuses...maybe I was just really excited about it...Perhaps it'll still help, though!

Really noone has noticed that before? The only reason I've never mentioned it is because I took for granted everyon had already noticed that!

Fenikku 20th September 2005 09:26 PM

No, I never stopped to think about that possibility before.

dmoss 20th September 2005 10:57 PM

That's why I kept my trap shut for a while. Although I remembered the Croctuses' Eyes thing just the other night, I knew for quite some time. I, like Benjo Koolzooie, just thought everyone knew...I wish I would've thought about it before! ;)

The tiptup turtles match all 6 egg colors don't they?
