hatrickpatrick 4th August 2005 09:23 PM

My intention is ti find out if they do anything or not. I don't know if they do, but I'm not saying I think they dont
I think they probably unlock some beta stuff, which may not be fully functional, but hey, we got Bottles revenge, and everyone had said it was probably not in the game...

Isaac 4th August 2005 09:23 PM

So,if I understand....

If we collect four egg in a certain order,we'll get something special or something like that?

Benjo Koolzooie 4th August 2005 09:23 PM

Sharkfood island is involved with Snacker the..SHARK. I assume.

Good way of explaining it. That's what I meant bascially.

Like the Unicorn Foutain in Zelda OOT.
We're not 100% sure that's not in the game.

BTW,what's that different speed /rotation axe thingie about the eggs?
and Why the titles of the worlds are changing of colors?

(I noticed that now that i'Ve collected all the eggs+ the keys, that the title is "more" blue than before,I think,i'm not really sure).

Benjo Koolzooie 4th August 2005 09:27 PM

I don't think the axis things has much t do with it really. But I can't really confirm that. Are they not just random set patterns?

Then again there could be something to it.

Isaac 4th August 2005 09:28 PM

My Cyan eggs were turning on the left.
Then after that i've got all the eggs,it were turning on the right.

Benjo Koolzooie 4th August 2005 09:31 PM

if you pause and unpause, do the egg directions and speed yet again?

Isaac 4th August 2005 09:32 PM

No,it stays like that.

I went on another thread and it's exactly like that :

> < > < > <

Only the speed change.

trevor 4th August 2005 10:07 PM

It seems to keep same speed untill power off then it changes.
MewChan I never tried that V(below)

Wait, I am a huge Zelda fan and I have never heard of this...there is something wrong here...

Banjo-kazooie9 5th August 2005 05:28 PM

well has anyone ever noticed when u go to shark food island just outside of it part of kazooies wings turn blue what is this??? o and i think stop n swop might be the color of the jinjos cause 4 of the jinjos have the same color of the eggs

Benjo Koolzooie 5th August 2005 06:08 PM

I'm not sure but don't kazooie's wings (the tip of them) go blue whenever you are underwater?.

Also, The Unicorn fountain in OTT, I don't think there is any speculation of that being in the game at all (unless you mean as just beta memory). But from my travels online, nobody thinks the fountain is any longer in OOT, and just just part of the beta process.

micjohvan 6th August 2005 02:29 AM

I have a idea. I know that at least 2 of the eggs are marked with a X. The one in the wine celler, and the one in TTC (marked on the map in the captains room) Are there any more of the eggs marked with a X and if so those may be the ones that need to be collected.

Benjo Koolzooie 6th August 2005 09:21 AM

Does nabnut's home's window have a "X" frame on it?

Does the window for the cabin have an X frame on it? I'm not sure really.

micjohvan 6th August 2005 09:56 AM

I also had a idea about the key spinning. What if it spins based on where you are. Sort of like when you played hide and seek as a kid and people would tell you if you were getting warmer or hotter. Maybe the key spins faster when your close to "something" and slower the further away you get. I dont know if its a feasable idea or not so if anyone feels inclined to try it let me know if the key is just spinning at random speeds or not.

Benjo Koolzooie 6th August 2005 11:13 AM

Does the keys speed also alter? I don't remember.

Squall722 6th August 2005 03:36 PM

Hello All.

I came upon this site just yesterday via Gamefaqs and was amazed that there was actually an entire group of people that were as interested in SnS as I am.

After reading through the 31 pages of this thread (which is no small feat mind you), I must say that the amount of ideas and progress made here is phenomenal, and I look forward to helping the cause in any way I can.

Unfortunately, I no longer posses an N64 nor BK, but I do have access to the ROM, so if that can be of any help, don't hesitate to ask.

However, it appears that my friend has an untainted copy of BK, so if need be I can use that, but I don't own any sort of 'cheating equipment' persay, so my offer stands as is.

At any rate, nice to meet you all.

Benjo Koolzooie 6th August 2005 03:53 PM

Hi there Squall! Welcome to the forum. It's always great to have more people join in! So, Squall, do you care to share what ideas you have about SNS?

Squall722 6th August 2005 05:49 PM

Right then, to business:

I'm not quite sure to what length the fanfare's were mentioned when collecting the items, but perhaps the four eggs we're looking for all have their own separate fanfares.

If someone wouldn't mind looking into this for me it would be greatly appreciated, for as of now in my ROM version I am only at Clanker's Cavern, and I apologize if this was dicussed in great detail before. Simply stating my thoughts, I am.

Fenikku 6th August 2005 06:57 PM

Welcome, Squall. What exactly do you mean by fanfare?

Squall722 6th August 2005 08:35 PM

Thew music played when you attain the special items. For example: I remember when you attain the one in MMM, you can hear distinct noises to MMM in the music. I wonder if all the eggs and key have their own special fanfare according to their location.

Benjo Koolzooie 6th August 2005 09:52 PM

I think once you collect the actual items themselves, they have the same fanfare. However, the fanfare when you enter an area holding a secret item - is followed on by music that resembles the area you are in. For example, in the cellar, you hear a witch laughing, in the desert, the music is snake-charmer like, the ice chamber has tinkly music.

However, the actual fanfare once collecting an item is the same. Even the same fanfare used in Donkey Kong 64 when a boss door is opened.

Banjo-kazooie9 6th August 2005 09:56 PM

after reading alot of stuff about stop n swop i think there might be a 90 percent chance they took it out ten percent is rare never said.. but i think there might be no stop n swop avalibe but there use to bei read something that said about capatain black eye of hm saying he had a dream ounce referese to rare about stop n swop that nintendo took it away

Benjo Koolzooie 6th August 2005 10:40 PM

Yeah a lot of people don't suspect SNS to still exist in its full form. However, clues are still being searched for as to what SNS could all have been about. Also, SNS does in fact exist on BK's behalf, but probably not BT. Just certain things such as triggers need to be located. I am still inclined to think those sandcastle codes to get the secret items is the right way. But who knows.

R Hunter 6th August 2005 11:00 PM

Did anyone know we could do this? But getting back on topic with everything that's been found in the ROM's we may be getting close. All we need is a little faith that SnS is still in BK. :)

Benjo Koolzooie 7th August 2005 09:51 AM

A question: If there were alternate cut scenes for when the secret items areas were opened up - would they be in BK, or would they have been placed in BT and carried over? I doubt they are in BT now, but do you think they were to be?

Also, the green egg doesn't just "appear" on top of Logo. If you read the rhyme that unlocks it, it says "Admist the haunted gloom", so we are to believe there is a gloomy mist in the room that shields it from Banjo's vision. (Although technically, it does appear :P). I guess the same could be said for "Now it can be seen on nabnut's table".

Perhaps it was just a way of rhyming, but what does it mean "an ice key you can have for FREE", it sort of implies there was a "price" to it? Like I said, probably just an excuse to rhyme the thing.

What about "This one you'll be grabbing in the captain's cabin", it sort of implies it is to be "grabbed" along side others.

Fenikku 7th August 2005 11:22 AM

Very interesting point, Benjo. This is something not to be overlooked.

mrfleshcadge 7th August 2005 12:37 PM

This thread has got a lot more active since I last came here. I feel the need to set up my N64 again. Do you mind if I help?

Benjo Koolzooie 7th August 2005 12:56 PM

As if we would mind! :)

Squall722 7th August 2005 02:33 PM

I believe a more logical approach at this whole thing needs to be set up, as some have possibly said before. My idea is to take one idea, and assume it is the answer, then from there try to find evidence as to why it is the answer.

For example: Assume that the fact that wozza isn't in his cave in the demo of sorts as the real key to unlocking more info on SnS. From there we can look at reasons for which that would be the answer, instead of focusing on why it can't be the answer because 'such and such' points to this.

micjohvan 7th August 2005 02:48 PM

I have been inside the cave in the normal game without wazza there (not in the intro scene either) I did it by clipping through it with the GS code for walk through walls. I jumped over here so I was in front of here. Then there was a invisable wall that I had to clip through to get into the cave, which I did. Once inside she was still outside and it looked like the pic. However the jinjo was still there and the ice was still blocking the path to the key. I also tryed gettin the key as the walrus lol. That didnt do anything diffrent either. Any other ideas I could test out?

Benjo Koolzooie 7th August 2005 03:17 PM

I once gained the running shoes that you can acquire when racing Boggy, and ran in to the cave. The shoes were still present and I ran and jumped on the the platform, hoping to smash the ice wall with Kazooie's fast speed. Failed.

I'm wondering about that fire near Wozza. Unless it is just a joke, why would Wozza need a camp fire?! I tried jumping on to one of the large crystal like structures , opposite the ice wall. Then tried shooting eggs through the rising smoke, hoping t would shatter the ice. That also, seemed to fail...!

Dragon_Kazooie 7th August 2005 03:57 PM

Why did my brother sell BK? I am going to get it, I've gotta get Stop 'n' Swop! It's a mystery..................just like SnS........................... This is odd. Does Ice Mario have any comments?

Each of these ideas, though seemingly odd, are very original and would not normally be considered. Don't be afraid to be original. Also, remember that Rare scolded us for using the gameshark, so continue using it if you have it and if not, get original. There is the possibility that Stop 'n' Swop may not truly be in the game, but at least I could get everyone to try and look for it...

SimpleFun 7th August 2005 11:55 PM

I have an idea about SnS...
One time, my sister's friend somehow got the fire, ice, grenade and clockwork kazooie eggs from B-T into B-K and strangly had some importance because the grenades DID destroyed breakable walls and the badguys DID go on fire... so maybe you could destroy something in B-K with grenades?

Also I was using my GameShark Pro v 3.50 *brag alert* to check out any rising platform secrets in B-K levels. The only levels that might have rising patform secrets would be: TTC - BGS - FP - GV - and CCW in spring. I haven't checked out all the levels- but I'll update if I find something.

Tachi 8th August 2005 12:01 AM

Wait, what? BT eggs into BK?

What? o.O

Was that the truth. Did you actually see the eggs. If so then nag your sister or her friend until they tell you how.

SimpleFun 8th August 2005 12:06 AM

That is what I said.
It makes sense though.
If SnS was meant to swap with B-T, Rare might want someone with B-T to actually Stop n' Swap.
