Dylan Yoshi 10th July 2006 08:27 PM

Yeah, TheGuyOverThere, that happens to me too. A list of all the digits I've recieved are:
12
134
255
99
128

And once it gets to 128, it stays there. What I find strange is that it accepts triple digits when there are supposedly only 90 Jiggies in the game.

Hey! That 255 in there gave me a hacking idea! Well, knowing that there are two types of codes and ways values are saved (8 bit and 16 bit) and that all 8 bit values must be 255 or under, and all 16 bit values must be 65355 (or somethin, i don't remember, hatrick knows though :)) Anyway, IF someone goes to jiggywiggy's and gets a number above 255, then that narrows the code down to a 16 bit code! It may not help much but it would eliminate about half of all address/code possiblilities. Then again SubDrag or Ice Mario probably already know the address, as they made that code...

EDIT: Whoa, more madness:
Go to Cliff top, and look! Chuffy's there! Or is he? Talk to the sign and the coal guy says he's in GGM. Talk to it again he'll say the same thing. I talked to it a third time and got this error (see attachment)

Weird, huh? It even gives an address in the error... perhaps this address is useful? hmm....

Dylan Yoshi 10th July 2006 08:46 PM

I've tried it again in the ROM and I've recieved a bunch of random numbers, including 0, 255, and of course, 128.

255 and 128 are the most common numbers. I can't seem to get the Moonjump code to work, but I'm gonna try using warp digits to get into JiggyWiggy's Temple.

ChillyDark 10th July 2006 08:49 PM

My discovery is only a text modifier.
Don't get your hopes up people.
It is probably just something Ice and Sub, decided not to reveal to the world.
It has no clues that SNS is in the game.
We need PROOF of Jiggywiggy saying something SNS based.
There has been MANY generations of hackers, and I only just started hacking.
At least 10 have already discovered, EVERY code you find.
Sorry people, but it isn't much of a discovery.

Theguyoverthere 10th July 2006 08:53 PM

dang! people are fast with the posts! can someone check out my post above?

Oh, and Chilly, wasn't it ME who suggested that all it was was a text modifier? I believe it was... just sayin'

ChillyDark 10th July 2006 09:02 PM

Right then, I'll correct my post.

Actually, it was Guyoverthere, who dicovered the trigger.
I just discovered the address.
Also Guyoverthere also suggested it first.

I kind of agree with that, because Ice and Sub have searched BT + BK for almost as long as it has been out.
We have only searched it for a few days, no offence but Ice and Sub are WAYYYY better hackers.
That should fix things up.
Note: I am a minor who has NO hacking experience whatsoever.
So don't think things ahead, because people like me, though smart, usually discover the already discovered, no offence again.

hatrickpatrick 10th July 2006 10:18 PM

You know, Chilly, that isn't always true... After all, Slaphappy found the cutscene mod after all this time, and, apparently, it eluded Ice for years...

And the challenge 16 thing, whatever else it could be, is NOT a text mod. It could only be a text mod is Jiggywiggy actually has that text at some point. Which, as far as we know, he doesn't.

And I can't get the code to work on the NTSC ROM of BT....

Theguyoverthere 10th July 2006 10:34 PM

You should just try PJ64, regarless of the lag. If you getta graphics error like I did, press ALT+Enter to go to full screen then press ALT+Enter again to go back to regular and it won't get that error anymore. The reason you should use PJ64 is that it has the cheat built into it. But, about that address I found as an error, do you think all it is is the address of the location of chuffy?

ChillyDark 10th July 2006 10:54 PM

Hi ho hi ho, it's off to SNS we go.
Sorry I just HAD to do that.
Heeere's Hex Workshop.
Just ask if it confuses you, it's really easy to use.
All you need, is the BT PAL Rom.
Go get em, Hactrick!

Dylan Yoshi 10th July 2006 10:54 PM

Or, if you get the error I get, reset the game shortly after the graphics begin to glitch up.

And I tested out the Chuffy idea. I got inside Chuffy to find that it played the WitchyWorld music. I couldn't go anywhere on the Go Pad, and leaving resulted in appearing in Glitter Gulch Mine.

Probably just a glitch.

Crystal_bear 10th July 2006 10:58 PM

Glitch? I think that jiggy code caused it.

Theguyoverthere 10th July 2006 11:04 PM

Chilly, that download you gave doesn't work :( I download it just fine, but when i go to run it, i get an error saying some dll file couldn't be found. Maybe it won't work on Windows XP because the error box was in the oldschool format.

Banjo-Swopooie 10th July 2006 11:14 PM

I noticed the chuffy glitch, and....none of the train stations are opened in the MEMORY ONLY. The switches ARE pressed, but only in graphics.

ChillyDark 10th July 2006 11:19 PM

Try this one, then.

It should work.
Now YOU can be a great hacker like Ice Mario, or almost as good, at least.
This link is for those who can't get my above post link to work, yes it works with XP, I have XP by the way.

Actually, the text document I used for my cutscene workings has a timestamp of 01/10/2000 15:46 :)

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 12:27 AM

Thanks, chilly i got it workin :) But I was wonderin' if it's just a memory editor or if you can actually use it like a code generator (search for values, choose higher or lower, etc. just like on a GS).

Also, on any rom (like BK) there is no text at all ANYWHERE. Just "Banjo Kazooie" at the beginning and then no words, no text. I've searched on a gameshark and there's definitely text in the memory editor. How do u get it to show ALL of the memory?

Ice Mario 11th July 2006 12:54 AM

Data within roms are compressed, except for the executable and filesystem table.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 01:07 AM

I'm sorry, but English please?

Since I've been thinking of being a wannabe, beginnger hacker.. like looking at sprites etc.. just to try to help out, I think I should learn as much stuff as possible.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 01:25 AM

...Games also use HTML coding? *shot 128(bad pun) times for getting confused and then acting like a n00b*

Well, I can see that. I guess it's good that it's compressed... I mean, it CAN kill computer space if it weren't compressed.

No, not that I've seen, anyway. It just helps to learn HTML.
Well, glance at the Hexadecimal Wiki to scare yourself from learning it. :p

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 01:29 AM

Luckily I know quite a bit HTML. *hugs freewebs.com*

Scare myself? Yikes, it's that hard. I think I'll stick to "search and find" hacker guy... er... girl.

ChillyDark 11th July 2006 02:48 AM

Here's a hacking text guide, that shows you the features of Hex Workshop, and allows you to hack.

If you want to find something, search text then copy the hex, then switch to 32 bit unsigned long, and paste the hex.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 03:09 AM

So.. paste it on these forums if I find anything? Shweet.

I should get that PJ64 if I want to learn.

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 05:46 AM

But CAN you do more than just look and edit text and memory? Like the code generator? Cause I've always wanted to hack codes for BT but, you know, the freezes and stuff on the GS.

hatrickpatrick 11th July 2006 09:11 AM

You have to use a program called Emucheat with pj64 1.5, but it's a complete nightmare to hack with, half the functions are written in some symbol language (Chinese maybe? Not quite sure) and it moves the bytes around, so you can't read any 16-bit addresses from it...

Hey Ice, did you have any luck with that M code you were trying to get for BT?

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 09:32 AM

Haha... Chinese... haha.. Yeah, I've tried emucheat... That program scares me... Yeah well anyway, i've been trying so hard to find the jiggy modifier using hex workshop by doing things like pausing it and then taking a save state, then go into hex and search for 90 (90 jiggies) and there were like 12 matches, and i changed the match that was nearby the word "LOTS" (from the pause screen) but it didn't change my amount of jiggies. I also tried changing the doormans text from "You need [some number] jiggies to enter" to 00 but still no dice. I wanna get inside that temple! So, I started a new game, went there, then once i was inside i checked the almost everything complete code and checked it. I talked to jiggywiggy he said go over there for the super special challenge. I do and press B. Black Screen with a framerate of less than 1. Scary.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 05:56 PM

Uh, I am just a beginnger, and still learning how to configure the dang controls on PJ64. I should learn to configure then before I get hex programs or whatever.

As for my 'hopefully' hacking part-job, I find editing stuff scary.

ssh 11th July 2006 06:11 PM

same things happening to me guyoverthere. is there a code for "jiggywiggys door always open". perhaps after we are accepted entrance to the temple, even though the door doesnt open, itll be open and something could be triggered. I tried the "instant warp" code to get into the temple by running into the nearby silo. when i entered, i was asked to complete the FIRST challenge. does anyone have a REAL 100% finished BT game save that we can use for testing?

ChillyDark 11th July 2006 06:55 PM

Hosted by the one and only Zshare!
Here is a collection of 3 important savestates.
bt savestates.rar - 3.05MB
It contains Jiggywiggy's Temple, Jolly's Inn, and something else.
I'll try to get one with Quaqmire Door.
Oh and GuyOverThere, sorry to tell you, but your method is how I got it to work.
But you did suggest the text modifier.
Anyway, get on with the testing. SNS, or whatever's left of it, awaits.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 07:06 PM

I understand Jiggywiggy's Temple, but the Jolly's Inn part.. I don't.

Maybe it's something dealing with Blackeye, but I forgot.

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 09:54 PM

The seagull trick? That trick is scary. I can't believe people have been overloooking it. It could very well be the secret to SnS. I mean, the seagulls and backround is EXACTLY the same in TTC when you're flying really high. There is no way that that is a cameo. It's got to mean something.

As for the door... IF Ice Mario or someone could come up with a BT enable code, I could hack it with my gameshark and then do known value searches for the number of jiggies, then collect a jiggy, search for a value one more, repeat until i got the jiffy modifier code. Once I got that, just set the value to 128 or even 130 and BAM! There ya go.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 09:57 PM

You mean you need a real GS.. even to use for PH64? Man that sucks. For me.

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 10:13 PM

Well... kinda... If you wanna just look at memory you can download Hex Workshop, but like I asked before, if you wanna make your own cheats on PJ64 you need soemthing like the all-frightening EmuCheat... hopefully there's a better hacking too out there...

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 10:17 PM

Ouch that really sucks, looks like I can't use any wall-passing scripts either.....

ChillyDark 11th July 2006 10:23 PM

Nemu was good, till it was shut down.
Hex Workshop has ability to do more, you just need EXPIRENCE.
It isn't "just a toy" to look at memory, and not do anything else.
You just need to learn more on hacking.
You can text edit, do lots of things with it, if you know how.

Crystal_bear 11th July 2006 10:53 PM

Really? I thought it was only for looking at memory and editing text.

And I will learn, when I have the time.

Theguyoverthere 11th July 2006 11:47 PM

Man if Ice could just get a good enable code.. who knows what i could do? I could have 128 jiggies, stop the clock on jiggy wiggy's super special challenge at whatever i like, and a whole bunch of other stuff! (if i was lucky)

Any luck with that code?

Crystal_bear 12th July 2006 12:06 AM

If you were talkin to me, I wasn't part of helping finding that code.

Yes, stopping time with jiggy challenges. That would be better then SNS itself.

Theguyoverthere 12th July 2006 05:49 AM

Off topic a little: Holy crap, chilly! That Hex Workshop hacks ANYTHING!!! Just right click on a file and choose edit with hex and you can see its programming and edit it!!!!! How is that legal? Wouldn't people copy other peoples' software?

On topic: Nah, I wasn't talkin to u i was talkin to hatrick/ice mario/subdrag/ or anyone else who was workin on that code

DementedSun 12th July 2006 05:05 PM

I got in when it said I needed 128 jiggy's!!!!!! It says this error when I do.

http://img371.imageshack.us/img371/7...21302174rh.jpg

Edit* I used the moonjump cheat to get in.

MAJOR EDIT: I got in without it freezing!
