Out in about in Jiggopolis!
Jiggpolis is a vegas-esque city (but cleaner) with a strip of hotels. Each hotel has a theme that represents the level that is within. To access the level, you must gain a certain amount of jiggy's to get the key to the level (or room).

Items:

Jiggy's allow you to access the level, you must gain a certain amount of jiggy's to get the key to the level (or room).

Notes play a more major roll in this game. With the professor's advanced technology, Banjo and Kazooie's moves alone won't be enough to go against him. So we introduce a new element to banjo, something that can be purchased with notes (read about that below).

Gadgets, yes, gadgets play a key role in the game. They are vital for certain battles and tasks. These can be purchased from Klungo- oh, erm... Professsor Klungo. Yes, there are several gadgets to be bought such as the Jiggoblaster or the Mecha-Monocle.

Costumes are still in debate, it might be a fun thing though! Lets go back to the part where Banjo and Kazooie are now celebrities. Costumes, which can be bought with glowbo's (guess who's selling em'), will be disguises for Banjo and Kazooie when walking around the city. But choose wisely not all costumes can hold up well, and may give away your identity, allow the Jiggarazzi to attack you!

We need all the help we can get, so feel free to help out! It could take a while, but if you're interested, plz help! ^_^

A mildly interesting concept. The rearranging sounds like it could get annoying sometimes though.

What kind of help are you looking for? Just programming?

B-Kpianist 11th August 2008 10:32 PM

mildly interesting? what does that mean?

And I'm looking for people who are creative and give good idea's i believe lupaie is going to help with all the programing and such...

Could you make it a side scroller? The hub world should be top down for clarity, but could the levels be side scrolling? I've always wanted a Banjo Side scroller...

B-Kpianist 12th August 2008 02:37 AM

oh- it's actually going to be bigger than a side scroller. Sorry :(
It's going to be 3d, here's a sketch of one of the levels (not official, just an idea):
Honeybee Mountain (Concept)

3D? Oh. Well then never mind. I thought it was gonna be 2d. Nevermind then. Continue.

B-Kpianist 12th August 2008 02:52 AM

anyone else?

B-Kpianist 12th August 2008 03:28 AM

I'd like modern type graphics, I don't expect nuts and bolts quality (even though thatd be awesome). What do you use for 3D modeling? And I actually don't know what program we're actually going to use at the moment. Lupaie said he would help with that part once he finished this other project. But if you can do 3D modeling and animation,I'd love to see what you can do :)

All I can do is draw stuff.

If you need any examples from me I'll be glad to provide some as soon as I can.

B-Kpianist 12th August 2008 03:37 AM

Well, depends, are you good with landscapes and or characters?

Pretty good with both, although I'd have to go with landscapes. Yet sadly, all I can show at this time is characters I have laying around in folders on my computer.

Ima go hunt a few down.

Because if I can learn it without a year or two of effort, I'll help with the programming of this game.

EDIT: I can also do some 3d modeling/animating. What quality do you want this, like N64, modern, or what?

EDIT (once again): Are you talking about CELstart or Crystal Space? They're both on the same page.

Either program for the game I think... The gamemy friends in I are making making is in c++ so I would assume it would be in c++ or very similar too it. :p

I think since it is his first game, he should use CELstart, which allows you not to know as many coding skills.

But he should go for crystal space if he gets a very powerful/ smart coder. :D

Best luck to ya B-Kp :)

B-Kpianist 12th August 2008 04:05 AM

Thanks delto. :)

And yeah, I wanna see just a little more of what you can do before anything starts. If you want I can give you a character that I drew, and then make a 3D model of that, maybe even an animation.

Deltonax 12th August 2008 04:07 AM

I meant that by anyone with semi decent skills can make a note. :p

You are actually pretty good. But B-Kp, you really need to find out if you have a commited programmer. :D
