Finally.

Finally!

Let SNS rest, once and for all.

Airman 21st February 2007 08:40 AM

Even if SNS did magically appear on the 360 version what use is it? At least on the 64 u were like wow we have to swop the games in 10 seconds or whatever but with 360 u will only have that one game so it can only give you in-game prizes which are probably useless anyway you know what i mean sort of?

Ryan: "I'm not actually sure about the whole ...lagistics of it but kinda like pulling cartridges out and sticking other cartridges in.
I think they decided in the end it probably wasn't such a good idea."

He is not sure about whole SNS!

To me this interview ISN'T proof that SNS was removed!
Hope still continues...

"I think they decided in the end it probably wasn't such a good idea."

Stop n swop was left in the first game and removed from the second.

Eh,runehereo,I never said I was making an SnS game.I was only talking to kirbyanner about how a Paper Mario in a game will make it better.I didnt say I was MAKING a game.I firmly belive that SnS is canned,so why would I bother reviving stuff?(The fist one to say I m reviving a posted comment gets it.Not realy, though)And anyway,I have absolutly no knowlege of how to programme games,so it would be pointless.[/offtopic]

[ontopic]The second the interviewer siad 'Stop 'n' Swop',the guy would have got nervous. He shows no odd body languidge (Thats spelled wrong, isn't it?).If he was told to lie,he would have started to get nervous.

Being a programmer myself, I would like to comment that when someone says they 'remove' a feature it does not mean "I have removed it and deleted all of the files." It means "I have removed all normal access to the feature and not completed it"

What RWP has hacked out of the game files is just the stuff that was left over in the game system. This is why there was less data about SnS in the PAL vs NTSC version of BT (I think it was that way) because when they decided to do a bit of cleanup between the versions.

I haven't read if this has already been posted, but it's just my two cents on how features are placed in builds of games.

Dude, he's a developer who worked on both games. He knew about SnS long before you.

BanjoPL 21st February 2007 03:58 PM

You're wrong LaorBR.
I checked Banjo-Tooie credits on Moby Games and there isn't Ryan Stevenson!
See this:

Hmm interesting... I'll check out the credits when I get home.

Ryan Stevenson was the concept artist for PiƱata and did all the graphical design for Mr. Pants, I believe. According to that video, he is now moving to the Banjo Team.

BanjoPL 21st February 2007 04:27 PM

He didn't work on BK and BT so he didn't work on SNS project.
I think that old members in Banjo Team (who worked on BK and BT) want to keep the whole truth about SNS as secret...maybe untill BK3 release.

I've thought they were gone a long time ago. I would like to know more details though.

Really just what the legs and ice key were for.

bobbynicjr 21st February 2007 08:38 PM

well i guess there is some hope then....

LeGeNdArYbAnJoEgGs 21st February 2007 08:44 PM

Although they may bring the eggs back into the storyline, the LeGeNdArYbAnJoEgGs, you're not going to have an Xbox 360 interfacing with games on the N64. Theres tons of cross company red-tape there. I think it would be nice to have the keys and eggs in the storyline... but there will be no swop to an old 64 game.
