Just for fun, here's the md5 checksum for version 1.0 (I'll put out a sha1 soon...): d0a2674e1ec1ad6e38a6faece6920fd5.

To check the md5 checksum (basically confirm this is legit), download this little utility from here:

When I said I looked everywhere I meant it ;)
My only question is how do 3 lvls equate to 60 MB?

What about RWP related things? Would they belong in the Rare Archive?

There's the "It was my project" picture in there for the RWP, but other than that, there really isn't anything else.

And there is no Rare archive :P. Right now, the BKArchive is demoing the possibilities of this kind of project. The hope is that it will have it's own site one day...

qwertykins76 19th March 2014 02:11 AM

Yeah it really should.

The only thing holding it back is a touch of research to find out where to host it, and a summer job for me to fund it :P.

I already suspect it will be plagued with problems though. It has to host gigabytes and gigabytes of data... :-/

UPDATE:

No new material has flowed into my hands, and I'm afraid to say that the BKArchive's development has grinded to a complete standstill. I've cleaned up a lot, and currently adding a glitch compilation, there just isn't any true reason to hold back a new build. I've been unsuccessful in finding a way to just release patches, so I will continue uploading the self-extracting .exe files (and on that note, if you know how to create patches of directories on windows, please PM me or somethin' :D).

Here's my question: Should I release a new build, or hold off 'till the planned mid-April release?

qwertykins76 20th March 2014 05:53 PM

Hold off I think.

NOT-SO-UPDATE:

The BKArchive's second build was planned for today, Thursday April 17th. Due to life being unfair 'n' such, I was unable to finish up a lot of work that needed to be done yesterday, and I've been able to finish up that work I didn't get done today. I'm not 100% sure when the build will actually be pushed out, but you'll get that update as soon as it begins ;).
If you haven't gotten the BKArchive yet, or did decided to tax your machine with the gargantuan download, I would recommend this build. It includes a lot of new stuff, including many updated files, programs, and an all new Glitch Stack (which needs some help)! The third build won't surface until the next release of Banjo's Backpack (since it needs one terribly), so get it now and enjoy it's greatness all summer!! :D

UPDATE:

BKArchive Build #2 succesfully uploaded last night as I slept! It's now publicly available for download via archive.org:

Link: https://archive.org/details/bkarchive.-7z

Make sure to read the readme as usual for general jump start tips!

UPDATE: Several people have downloaded the BKArchive, but I'm not quite sure who specifically. If you have downloaded it, I'm asking that you become a tester to test it out in it's infant stages right now.
Post below if you've downloaded it and are willing to help with it! :D

You should expand it to become a Rareware Archive. Imagine Perfect Dark, Conker and Kameo all there.

Hmm...I can't remember what I've posted where, so I'll just (re?)post the full intentions of the project here:

The BKArchive will hopefully one day be part of a family of archives, say an FFArchive, a MarioArchive, etc. that everybody will be able to contribute and add to Wikipedia-style!
Considering I A) am currently Broke and B) Haven't put in all the research, the project has to be the way it is. Right now, I'm trying to test out how everything can work, and the best way to get things done (ie: smaller file formats with 0 quality loss).
The best way you, or anyone can help, is 1) Download the BKArchive, then 2) Sign up to be a beta tester!

Spoiler: (highlight to view)
btw, should I just open up the beta to the public?

Hikari 26th June 2015 01:47 AM

GJ dude!

Is it still alive? I'm downloading now.

I'd suggest to have it on rar split on files of 500MB, would be easier to download and upload.
