The series has gotten alot better at giving pokemon more animal like characteristics
like when they show effection they’ll nuzzle or bite lovingly its so cute!

There was also a leaked thing earlier last month as well. In Gen I, there was supposed to be a shark mixed with a harpoon. (Sharpoon....) Now we find out they tried to have a shark mixed with an anchor in Gen II, before finally deciding on a shark + torpedo combo in Gen III.

and the Icecream from black and white was suppose to be Gen I as well

Pretty sure all the gen 1 Pokemon are using sprites from Red.

This promo shows an Elekid which I don’t think we got until pearl meaning perhaps the rom they dumped was an even earlier version as there is no sprite for elikid

The ROMs we have are believed to be from the 1997 Spaceworld display demo, which is two years prior to the Japanese release and that promo you linked. The ROMs match footage recorded of the game from Spaceworld as well as descriptions of the game given by guests attending the demo. Elekid was obtainable in Gold and Silver through breeding. As far as I can tell, the promo video you linked only shows footage of the final game.

Yeah, Elekid (and Magby, since they paired the two together) came out in Gen II. However, Diamond and Pearl DID see an addition, as Electivire and Magmortar, evolutions for Electabuzz and Magmar, happened in Gen IV.

on a more normal note I do not think there has been any moment in pokemon quite as epic as facing Red in G/S/C
