Mumbo is Edison? (from poject dream)
 

so i was bored and decided to read the bk manual (yea i got nothin better to do shut up) and i came across this ive heard that this had some use to it but was dropped, but what if it wasnt dropped. what would mumbo look like? i have no evidence to support it could be edison, but what happened to him? it could have been edison, because why would rare scrap a whole character that could easily be put to use some how? this is just a theory so dont spaz on me and say its stupid

Be that as it may, I really doubt Mumbo is Edison. They have nothing at all in common.

No, this is incorrect. First was Edison, but they weren't too keen on him, so they tried some other things, such as a rabbit that ran on two legs, and then finally they changed it to a bear. This was popular among the developers, so they kept him.

Now see, Joe? Mando was just shot down...not you, though. :p

All this time I thought Banjo took the spotlight when Edison went kaput.

and mumbo is edison
and kazooie was supposed to be a dog

Edison was going to be a star of a game for the SNES where he fights off pirates.
N64 came along and SNES was obsalete, so Rare moved it to the N64
They ditched the idea of that and started a game with a rabbit.
Then they ditched that and put in a Bear named Banjo who needed to save his girlfriend from a giant.
Then Rare thought "how would Banjo be able to fly?" so they put a bird in his backpack.
they changed the giant to grunty, and banjo's gf (Piccolo) to Banjo's sis (Tooty)

Tooty>Piccolo
Grunty>Giant>Captain Blackeye
Kazooie in backpack>Backpack full of weapons
