Well, I've said this before (maybe not here) but I think that Rare is doing remakes of
B-K and B-T. But this time we would all know that SNS works and Bottles Revenge would in fact be implemented and we would know about it! And the biggest hint we have of that is the Xbox cases that appeared in Grabbed by the Ghoulies! |
Its only a joke to anger us, I think, or maybe is a hint for something, but ¡¡6 years!! its a lot of time, and the N64 is out. Maybe Rare is going to do remakes with some conection, but is not the same.
|
Oh no, it certainly won't be the same. But that means Rare has also had 6 years to come up with something even bigger and better! They would be sure and reward us for such a long wait!!
|
The reason the Ice Key text was in DK64 is because they re-used the BK engine for DK.
You can also pull up things from Goldeneye in Perfect Dark because they re-used the engine. |

It's not like that. They were developed simultaneously. If the ice key text were leftover, so would many more things, but it wasn't like PD from GE, where you took the exact game and reworked it. It's more like you created an engine, and then the teams went their separate ways (other than of course their joint Stop N Swop endeavor)
|
It comes down to choice really do you want to belive in SnS or do you let it go? both sides have good arguments the faithful could say that rare has yet to tell us that they removed it but the nay-sayers could reply that if SnS was still in the game we would've found something by now. the irony of all this being that no conclusive proof has been found for either side, it's a case of "if you can't see it does it still exist?"
maybe maybe not but remember you can't see air but you know that exists... |
You said that quite well. I believe it's still in the game and nothing will change that but confirmation from Rare that it isn't.

hehheh... real funny. Rare is always full of surpises, so you'll see SNS again. Remember, Rare never cans anything they don't intend to use again. Sabreman Stampede, It's Mr. Pants and Banjo Pilot are good examples of that!
|
I do want to believe in SnS, just like I want to believe there are fairies, but when the facts are added up it's pretty much futile to keep pursuing it.
|
Maybe SNS isn't in the the N64 games anymore. But it can return through remakes on the Xbox.

1)Rare would need to make BK/BT remakes in the first place, and I don't really foresee that happening too soon (maybe some day, but not yet.) 2)If a remake of the games were to come out, I really doubt that SnS would be there. I mean sure, it would make some people happy, but it would also stir up old feelings about the original failed plans. "Let sleeping dogs lay" as they say. 3)Erm, ok, so they end up including SnS again in a BK/BT remake. However, then we run into the fact that it really just isn't SnS anymore because we aren't swapping anything. The fact of the matter is that it would be contained on one disc more than likely, and well, it just really isn't SnS in that case. ;) 4)There really isn't much you could get with SnS either. Although we will probably never be sure of what exactly SnS would have done, it probably would have served the same purpose as the stuff in BT did, giving you like Dragon Kazooie and the like. It would just be like Super Mario 64. "Sweet, I just got all the stars! And Yoshi just gave me the super bonus by doing it by letting me know something and giving me 100 lives!" *Five minutes later* "Ok, time to play something else. It's not like 100 lives are going to make a difference now." Really, I don't think SnS on a remake ofthe original games is really a good idea, as it wouldn't really serve much of a purpose, and would only make older fans that don't have an X-Box a little angry they didn't get it in the first place. However, having a SnS style secret thing on upcoming Banjo games (new adventure ones that is) would be somewhat cool. But that's just what I think... |
Keep in mind, that Rare has never once said that SNS involved Hot Swapping. That was the thought of the general public. And then there is still Mt. Fire Eyes (which could be HailFire Peaks, but do we know that>). And of course the fact of what is in those other 4 eggs. SNS would cause quite a stir up yes. A stir up of excitement!

At least, I think that's how it all went down :) |
Well, Rare would have more info to place on a Xbox disc. They could include the level on a remake of B-K that must be unlocked from SNS!

|
Well, there are pictures of the level. One or two that I've seen. And get this! In one of those pics is a door that resembled one of those doors in Grunty's Transformation Chamber!!

Heh! Good imaginative ideas! But you know, we could also see Bottles' Revenge return!

|
Well, it could be. But you don't think that door is strange?
|
I think It was just leftover,I mean it fits both places perfectly so they just reused it.Wait! The Knocker is the Guardian Monster of the Legendary Stop 'N' Shop!Actually It looks like Grunty's Broom's Cousin Fred. Why doesn't the broom get any respect anyway?!I don't remember what happened to him but I'm pretty sure he lived,if anyone can refresh my memory on that please do..but the broom needs a bigger role..Like you have to team up w/Grunty cause the broom revolted. Now "could someone tell me where where that"Link 53"Is?He told me He'd give me A hundred dollars if I took off all my clothes off!"*Dies from RWP Punch, cause noone told me it was deadly!D!@# YOU ALL FOR THAT and...why I oughta!---------------------------Censord out of respect for the other readers--------------------Sorry...I kinda lost my temper, just warn someone next time...then I may rest in peace* :o

Me neither really.I don't see why anyone would think that.*Sarcasm*Actually most of that post was a joke, except for what happened to the broom.I really didn't remember, but hey Conker Duct taped Franky back together, mabey he would be nice enough for the broom as well.Fat Chance though,That would be a funny thing in the BG of the first movie in a Conker Sequal, the broom yelling help to Conker but the movie continues like nothings going on.

Well, this forum is already die. Rare f****d us all.
GM2K EDIT: Watch the language |
Hey
Is Banjo-Threeie going to be released or mentioned at E3?
|
apparently not...sigh. It's probably called Banjo X now, at least working name.

As I look at the upgraded Conker: Live & Reloaded, my original opinion on a Banjo remake has changed. No way did I want BK and/or BT remade, but damn... it would be nice. I think it's bloody possible too, but only if they undergo name-changes. Like... Banjo-Kazooie, and Banjo-Kazooie... 2... or something. Nintendo might still have some kind of... thing on the name "Banjo-Tooie". In any case, they're both Rare's games... I would imagine they can do whatever they bloody want with them. Nintendo be damned. Nintendo didn't care to keep the Banjo lisence for themseves after the buyout, so in my opinion, they'd have no right to complain. But who'm I kidding... it's Nintendo. The only company that's in this whole thing arse-backwards. ;) Back to my point though, a new Banjo game would be great, but remakes would be even more welcome in my opinion. |
I wouldn't mind having a new or remakes. And one thing that would be awesome is if Rare used the same Fur Effects on Banjo as they have with Conker!!

(I used to have one. I lost it.) |
I'd buy it just for my Stop and Swopping crave.
I'm sure the Banjo team has little objections to minimal effort in remaking a couple of games on a new console, as long as they cram as much secrets in there that it would make boltdragoon's head spin. |
Bk3
I dont think it is called Banjo X. First it was Banjo-Threeie, then Banjo-Kazooie 3, now that? It better not be. Banjo-Threeie is the only one that will fit the sequel name. I want it to come out soon. I dont want it to be slopped together either. I want a very good game like BK and BT.
|
And of course, Stop N Swop should most definately be implemented.
|
I found the arcticle on Rareware truly fascinating, and I only wish that one day, i'll be granbted the chance to visit (not likely). Anyway, although this may be a bit late, i admired the article, and there better be some Stop n swop stuff in Banjo Threeie, X, 3, whatever
