Banjo-Swopooie 8th August 2006 03:53 PM

I found pics of the menu with RSA and silos 8 and 9 on the list somewhere...hold on

KryptoniteJinjo 8th August 2006 04:11 PM

Hurry... I'd really like to see it.

*DING DING IDEA*
Why dont we use the code generator and find out which address has how many silos are unlocked?!?!?!

KryptoniteJinjo 8th August 2006 04:27 PM

Wait a second... I thought that it was merely found in the coding, not in actual gameplay. Can you access it, or does it just crash the game? Also, it seems a bit strange, because in one pic, it seems like RSA is unlocked before the Silos, because it is right below Quagmire, and in the other, Silos 8 and 9 are below Quagmire.

supuhchris 8th August 2006 09:19 PM

i know nothing about hacking, so i wouldn't know, but what would happen if you went to those places, would the game crash? and what was with the pictures next to the, bottles is next to two of them (one's dead though) and in the second picture, it looks like RSA1 has that frozen guy from hailfire peaks. and silo 9 just has a silo next to it... hmm... i know the pictures won't help us find them, but, maybe RSA1 has something to do with bottle's house? and silo 8 has something to do with angel bottles. because the pictures that go next to the areas are always of characters that are in that area.

GameandWatch33 8th August 2006 10:06 PM

Long time no see. I've been silently reading all of the topics, and I think it's time for me to try to help again. I am currently in the process of re-locating and downloading the stuff i need to.

BTW, I'm loving the cliff notes version of the other info. It's been a while hatrick.

TzTok-Jad 8th August 2006 10:42 PM

silo 8 has angle bottles next to it - spiral mountain perhaps?

silo9 ias dingpot next to it - GRUNTYS LAIR TOWER ROOM?

i think RSA doesnt have a defined pic... perhaps it is the SNS area?

hatrickpatrick 8th August 2006 11:47 PM

I remember someone once told me that Subdrag had to choose the images himself for the extra silos, not quite sure...

We badly need to find the codes to activate those menu options though... They might work on an emulator, like so many crash digits...

Grey Jinjo 9th August 2006 12:00 AM

I believe SubDrag said that he inserted those menu items in to a different menu (probably the quiz menu), so they either followed the selected menu or were completely randomized. The icons don't have anything to do with the actual location.

PS: Good luck with your efforts, hatrick. I like that there is someone in Banjo D that can be taken seriously.

Banjo-Swopooie 9th August 2006 12:26 AM

Whats Banjo D?

That's pretty funny. Anyway. Yeah. Good luck Hatrick. All I can do is stay on the main front of BD and try and teach em' more about SnS...

holyice7 9th August 2006 01:46 AM

While my hacking ability is limited to inputting codes, I think I understand the workings of a game well enough to post my input.

As far as these silos go, I would figure that while the activation code was triggered to place it on the menu, it still lacks an address for its destinaiton. For instance, I suppose it's entirely possible to change the destination address on one of the choices to make Banjo emerge from, say... Jiggywiggy's temple?

The real challenge is finding the actual area in the game code, kinda like the Citadel in GoldenEye.

I'm not sure how insane this sounds, but whatever. o-O

I'd love to hack more and learn properly what it is I'm talking about, but I only have one BK and BT game pak each, and I don't want to ruin them by my screwing up.

Dylan Yoshi 9th August 2006 02:43 AM

Did the idea of changing the egg count in Banjo-Tooie to 5 or 6 ever go anywhere? It seemed like it was forgotten pretty fast...

Crystal_bear 9th August 2006 02:48 AM

Since when did this topic get unstickied? [/n00b]

About the extra Silo's part, I don't think there was a need for the extra silo's... I'll shut up now.

Topmonhit 9th August 2006 05:13 AM

Hmm... extra silos... Silos 8 and 9 may have just been extra silos in the game in case Rare decided to have more silos such as in Spiral Mountain or... somewhere. Bottles' House?

And maybe RSA is... Rare Headquarters?

Seriously though, uh... keep up the good work...? Or... something... I don't know... still not much I can do...

...and has there been anything on that Jiggywiggy challenge 16? Maybe if you somehow were able to complete that you'd unlock the RSA.

Oh, and I don't think I ever got an explanation of the Chosen One Y thing. By explanation, I mean where it came from.

collecter 10th August 2006 12:24 PM

I have something very important that may unlock the RSA. At rare elites stop and swap station they announced that beating the super special challenge in 30 seconds or less unlocks challenge 16. all we need is a specific 128 jiggy code and a way to actually beat jiggywiggy's challenge so fast...

Fire Kazooie 10th August 2006 12:32 PM

I don't believe this. Where are challenges NO.11-15??

Campusanis 10th August 2006 01:07 PM

To me this sounds too much like variables whose values have been put to their maximums by accident.

KryptoniteJinjo 10th August 2006 10:40 PM

It seems so, but the maximum value is 255. 255 feathers, 255 eggs, 255 everything. Another note: In Banjo Kazooie, it was possible to have 255 gold feathers with a cheat even though the max normally was 10. It might be possible to have 128!

TzTok-Jad 11th August 2006 12:06 AM

HMM.. 128..

wasnt the gamecube out when bt came out? perhaps 128 jiggies unlocks MARIO-N-128! ok that was poiuntless =.=

but this is challange 16? where are challanges 12,13,14 and 15?

KryptoniteJinjo 11th August 2006 12:26 AM

Nope, Gamecube wasn't out. Since we don't know where the other challenges are, this seems a lot like a glitch.

Daydreams 11th August 2006 12:54 AM

How would this work as a glitch though?
And why would getting under 30 seconds on the challenge glitch it suddenly?

Isaac2 11th August 2006 02:18 AM

Someone seriously needs to get this on video. I've been trying to do this without GS, but I can never come close. So if anyone can get this on Youtube or something, I'd be happy.

TzTok-Jad 11th August 2006 02:25 AM

in theory, it is plausable.. with a rom, stop the game and figure out which piece goes where. saves alot of time i hear =p

BanjoPL 11th August 2006 01:18 PM

I have idea about Challanges 11-15.Maybe orginally they activated events to get SNS items via using cold-swapping(5 challanges=5 SNS items). But Rambus changed killed Rare's plan so they canned this 5 challanges. But maybe they use another method-hot swapping so SNS not dead on 100% so they include in BT SNS stuffs like: Bottles'Revenge,Challange 16 and RSA1.
I'm think that Challange 16 open RSA1 somehow...maybe Jiggywiggy will blasted this door in Quagmire?

collecter 11th August 2006 01:20 PM

Someone needs to make a list of the chalenges and the effects (inserting ? when needed) and asign the ? to hackers who could find them.

BanjoPL 11th August 2006 01:27 PM

Ok...
Challange 1-open door to Mayahem Temple
Challange 2-open way to Glitter Gulch Mine
Challange 3-open gate to Witchyworld
Challange 4-open door to Jolly Roger Lagoon
Challange 5-open way to Terrydactyland
Challange 6-open door to Grunty Industress
Challange 7-open door to Halffire Peaks
Challange 8-open way to Cloud Cuckoland
Challange 9-open door to Caulderon Keep
Challange 10-open way to HAG 1
Super Special Challange-activate Challange 16 ???
Challange 11-?
Challange 12-?
Challange 13-?
Challange 14-?
Challange 15-?
Challange 16-?

hackedjinjo 12th August 2006 02:13 AM

id love to help out but my t.v. blew out so i cant play games so i have to wait untill i get a new tv....

Airman 12th August 2006 05:46 AM

ive done jiggywiggys super special challenge but my top time is 72 seconds.....let me just say thirty seconds cant be done without a GS

hatrickpatrick 12th August 2006 10:36 AM

Does anyone have the code in PAL? I tried this yesteday, and my "record" time is *ahem* 72 seconds :o

BanjoPL 12th August 2006 11:40 AM

I have question to hackers:
Is possible that Tooie can transfer"Stop N Swop Room"(Tower Room?) data to Kazooie?
Maybe we can't use SNS in Kazooie because we not have "place to use" in this game?
Banjo said:"We WILL find a use for this somewhere"
There is possible transfer "extra data" from Tooie to Kazooie?
I'm think that Kazooie can(or can in past) transfer to Tooie only "memory actvators"(like activator for Bottles'Revenge)
GS can found this "memory activators" ,right? RWP found GS codes to enable BR "memory activator", right?

BTW: My Super Special Challange record is 49 seconds.I can't beat my record now!

Yuoko 12th August 2006 07:12 PM

Wow, I go away for a few Weeks/Months, and look what happens...
I've been saying it for the better part of a year, but my Gameshark really doesn't like my Banjo cart. Actually, it kirks out when it's used with it.

I'd love to have a go at helping, but I really don't want to go scrounging around town for another cart. Ah well...

One question at a time, mate.
1. I doubt it. Certainly possible that there's some very obscure method of doing it, but doubtful.
2. More or less, I'd assume that the transfer data's still in B-K, if it ever was.
3. When did he? I don't remeber that...
4. If there's the data to tell the N64* to keep the Data is still there, if it was.
5. Hm... I'd say the data to trigger the Activators would be more likely.
6. Er... Restate? I can't understand what you meant by this...

hackedjinjo 12th August 2006 09:37 PM

ok! i ve got me a new gameing t.v.(the old one blew out yesterday) so now i can play again tomorrow im gettin a used copy of bk on only have bt beacuase my older bro stole it so if you need me tell me what i can do. BTW i have a gameshark and a 4 Mb pack so i can hack slightly

Airman 13th August 2006 01:30 AM

got my record to 67 seconds woot 4mb pack is expansion pack right?

Daydreams 13th August 2006 01:33 AM

Yeah.
You need it to use the code generator.

BanjoPL 13th August 2006 12:04 PM

I have idea where activator is in Tooie....
In Jukebox! I'm believe that there is secret music code in Jukebox to activate Seagull legally.
Maybe some of hackers should investigate Jukebox...there is secret!

collecter 13th August 2006 12:36 PM

I think there are too many theries and not enough testing. (I can't because my new GS is acting a bit odd and I can't get new codes to work)

TzTok-Jad 13th August 2006 03:07 PM

there are lidterally millions of possabal combonations for the jukebox.. well take the number of sings*number of songs=possabal combos..

saying the advrage person can play 2 hrs a day.. well have a good two years of listning to banjo! O,o

hatrickpatrick 13th August 2006 07:23 PM

Is anyone here any good at porting codes? We REALLY need this M code ported to PAL...

Those of you with NTSC, try this code to hack BT:
F1000302 0002
F100030E 0005

Apparently it stops the constant crashes with the code generator. If anyone could port that to PAL, we'd be in business.
