RWP Bash Day 9: Arcade Day (June 28th)
 

The RWP Arcade has been a great way to bring a different type of gaming to the site, with a number of competitive people playing it out to see who can win a trophy. With a wide range of games there's plenty to choose from.

To celebrate the success of the arcade Grey has been adding a large number of games for the RWP Bash and decided to dedicate a full day to it!

New Arcade Game: Coming Soon

Earnable Award: To earn today's award you must either organise or win a tournament of RWP Arcade games with 6 or more people in each tournament. Create a new topic in the RW Arcade forum to organise your tournament.

Huh... I don't think many people will get today's award. :-/

Okay but, how is it going to be possible to check who won, the scores, etc? As far as I know people could just lie or try to win automatically just because they already have a higher rank.

EDIT: Nevermind I think it's going to be by challenges, I understand now. :o

I'll have to personally confirm scores myself... grr...

Why is this on the 28th? Isn't this meant for the 29th?

If I had to guess, Midnight in Australia...that's where GM2k is, and he took over the Trophy handling when Grey disappeared, so we're on Aussie time now. :cool:

Also, I wonder if Grey unexpectedly disappeared, or if it was planned for him to be absent? :thinking:

Yeah, about half of the people who signed up for my Pac-Man one never even posted their score.

So... does that mean I don't get mah tophy? :)

It goes until about 8am AEST so yes, we are a day late but that's because of factors beyond our control. The dates are staying the same in the names so we can at least see where we're up to.

We knew Grey was leaving, but hadn't planned on taking over ourselves... Hopefully we're doing an ok job.

Once Day 10 is posted any tournaments started fro then on won't be eligible for the award, however I will allow more time for them to finish because I understand how it can be with people in different timezones etc. but the tournaments can't run forever, they'll need to be finished sometime soonish (e.g. within 12 hours or so). Tournaments that run longer defeat the purpose of arcade day :p.

So... Just because only one person came back to actually do the challenge, after 8 signed up, that means mine doesn't count?

Those who organised a tournament will get the award so long as they've tried to get it done and everyone can feel free to finish the tournament it's just the winners won't get the award if it's not done until much later on.
