Never Before Seen Banjo-Kazooie Renders?
So I was just surfing the internet and I happen to run across these babies:
A render of Gruntilda performing a spell. http://www.raregamer.co.uk/wp-conten...runtyspell.png Banjo, Kazooie, Mumbo, Grunty and a Jinjo posing with the Rareware Logo. http://www.raregamer.co.uk/wp-conten.../grouplogo.png Banjo, Kazooie, Mumbo and some Jinjos looking a Jiggy Wiggy. http://www.raregamer.co.uk/wp-conten...rs/bkgroup.png Banjo and Kazooie by the N64 Logo surrounded by flowers. http://www.raregamer.co.uk/wp-conten...ders/bkn64.jpg I think that last one looks like Banjo is about to embrace you with a hug, like "Come to me my Child". Banjo is Jesus Christ Confirmed. While I owned the original game for a while; I never owned the box or the instructional booklet, so I don't know if these are new or not. I appologize in advance if you've seen these. I got these renders from www.raregamer.co.uk if anyone's interested. I saw some Grabbed by the Ghoulies ones that I had never seen as well. Edit: Banjo is Jesus Christ Confirmed is now my signature. |
Someone threw out the B-K box and I had to throw the manual away after spilling milk on it years ago... I remember what I was doing for some reason. I found the Turbo Trainers outside Freezeezy Peak and was looking them up.
|
I feel as though some of these came from Japanese adverts or the like, as I know I've seen them somewhere...
Also the purple Jinjo in the one made me think of that beta Jinjo animation that could be played in the intro screen? It was awhile ago, but I definitely remember using a code to see it. |

The first 3 are used in either the Prima or Nintendo Power Strategy guides. The last one I haven't seen before.

I haven't seen any of those, besides the last one! I used the last picture of Banjo and the logo for my signature at RWC ;)
I searched "Diddy Kong Racing" in google images and that was one of the results! |
Amazing.. Never seen these renders before. Well cept' the last one.

Cool to know people are finding that first Grunty render! I got it from Nintendo Power's Player's Guide and gave it to Rare Gamer. There are good in-game renders (not artwork) inside the guide, like high quality pictures of Bottles, Tooty, and all the baddies.
It's strange how Bottles never had official artwork until N&B. |
Thanks for touring through our Banjo-Kazooie section at Raregamer.co.uk, we appreciate the interest.
I can confirm that the unseen images mostly come from the Official Nintendo Strategy guide, as I've scanned them in and uploaded them to the server. The "Jesus" Banjo actually originated from the Banjo-Kazooie section on Rare's main site circa 1998, with the Rare logo shot found at the reverse of the magazine. There's a ton of interesting unseen magazine scans I've been working on for other Rare games including Conker's Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing and Killer Instinct - all of which can be found in their appropriate section on our website. Thanks again for checking it out! EDIT: Interestingly enough, the image of Edison that Frankadoodles has posted was scanned and edited from its magazine by myself as well - credit where it's due never seems to meet me, haha! |
this is unrelated, but here is a pic i made when i was younger

Bump. I went to DKVine for the first time in many years and found out they updated their Video Game Artwork section and have a bunch of new Renders I haven't seen before!
DKVine Video Game Artwork They have a Grabbed by the Ghoulies one I haven't seen, loads of Grunty's Revenge and Viva Pinata Renders. |
Back in the day, Best Buy was doing some special bundle that came with an N64 & a copy of BK. It also came along with the soundtrack and a T-Shirt that had the Jesus Banjo picture on it.
I'd show you pictures, but my 2 yr old self destroyed the shirt somehow. I do have the soundtrack case somewhere though.. |
Somebody back me up on this one, but that isn't a RENDER. It's artwork...right? So if you're like me and came here for new beta stuff, lucked out my friend...
