Hotel Horror: 59E0-0000-0023-AA0E
It's an exploration based level, sort of puzzley, no one has beaten it yet

Deep sea tour: 85E1-0000-0029-1398
More straight forward, water level with a special mechanic

More stuff in progress

As I closed my eyes while trying to fall asleep last night, I experienced something akin to Tetris syndrome. All I saw were Mario levels. Platforms, enemies, projectiles. Ideas for levels wormed their way into my mind involuntarily. Thwomp Chomp Romp. Flame Game. Two for the Coin, One for the Bullet Bill. Spaghetti Western. Hop Hop the Donut Drops. They wouldn't stop. I tossed and turned feverishly. I had to make a level. Just one more level. No. It was talking to me. And it wouldn't stop. Not until I was a part of it, and it a part of me.

These sound like Mario Party mini-game titles..!

Esteban Colberto 15th September 2015 12:24 AM

I was hoping they'd sound kinda like the names used in Yoshi's Island and NSMBU rather than just 1-4, 1-5, or a level that tells you what to do in its title. Like "Use the cloud"

I don't like those

I think my most recent two levels aren't bad. Donut Dropship (SMB3) and Power Blockade (SMW). Also, I find this game to really addictive. Like I can spend ten minutes to an hour with it, put it down, then not too long later I'll find myself thinking about it.

Well a lot of the people making levels are kids. I've played through way too many levels which were just the tutorial with very minor changes and some levels just random crap placed everywhere, as if the author closed his eyes and selected random objects and placed them at random locations. I'm also getting tired of automatic levels, the first few times were fun but after the 50th one the novelty wears off. The Kaizo stuff is a lot less fun without savestates as well. During the 100 Mario Challenge in Expert mode, If I encounter an invisible block or a death in the level that isn't my fault but the level's fault, I just skip it. I wish people would also polish their levels so it at least looks ascetically presentable. Having pipes not connected to anything is extremely lazy especially when it takes a second to fix.

The game's still new. People making crappy levels will get better and start uploading worthwhile stuff, while the bad levels will eventually get deleted from the servers. Give it a month or so.

Also if you encounter levels that you enjoy, encourage the author to make more by giving them a star. Even if it's not the best level you played, if you enjoy a level than I believe it deserves a star.

Jinjonator 17th September 2015 11:12 PM

I got more than my fill of automatic "don't press anything" levels back in the days of Super Mario Flash. And I mean I guess they're kind of cool in a way (for awhile anyway), but they seem like they take way more effort than they're actually worth.
