Weird, I'll look into that. There is an option in MW to make it so you automatically have all the moves.

Yeah, I'm using that now but I wanted progression through the hub.

Also, you can't go into the N cube scene and edit the warp because just opening it makes it obsolete in the ROM.

Yeah that was reported and it's going to be fixed in next version.

It'd also be nice to have items not be limited to their original worlds so I can place a Grublin in a level other than Mumbo's Mountain, but for a first version this works very well.

It's the way Banjo-Kazooie is programmed sadly. I'd have to do some reprogramming to make all game objects global, but it may be done one day.

First person to create a complete, well-done version of the removed forest level will receive staff immunity for the rest of their days. :)

MamaLuigi 3rd June 2013 04:01 AM

Sort of unrelated, but if there were to be a collaborative effort to make a fan-made "Banjo Threeie", would it be possible to somehow get it onto a Nintendo 64 cartridge for play on the original hardware? I haven't looked into much, was wondering if anyone else thought this would be a neat idea.

Well, there IS the everdrive64.

It's like an R4 card for the n64.

Hacks on the Everdrive 64 play beautifully :)

I make no promises that your post will not accidentally fall victim to a soon-to-come spontaneous editing spree, where all links posted by an individual are replaced with cats. My computer has been acting up lately, you see...

Whyme123 3rd June 2013 03:52 PM

I think that any individual who has their computer compromised and thus have the forum vandalized does not have the security qualifications to be an admin.

That said, if someone hacks you and uses your account to post cats everywhere, you would not be an admin for much longer :)

The above applies to virutlly any memember of the staff. Aside from Ice, perhaps.

Ty-chan 3rd June 2013 08:28 PM

Ice already has RWP immortality, I'm just sad I never got to meet the guy.

I think I'm just going to make a Banjo-Kazooie: Hard Mode before a full fledged ROM hack.

If u r forreal is it possible to make a user not have censors? I'm totally in if that's the case. I will slave away at this for the sole purpose of being able to freely say f**k

Bug fixes are important. Either way this version is superior and the old one doesn't need to exist.

It has a few new features as stated in the changelog...

More features are to come but sometimes bug fixes are more important.

You're showing off self entitlement again.

Ty-chan 12th June 2013 08:43 PM

There were 2 bug fixes in the change log next to 8 new features. Just sayin'.

LOL.
But seriously, I was just curious to why the old version wasn't listed.

Grey Jinjo 22nd June 2013 08:29 PM

Stickying this thread as Banjo's Backpack is currently the biggest deal in the Banjo Universe.

Coolboyman 22nd June 2013 11:46 PM

Thanks.

When the month ends I'll list my five favorite custom levels over the past month.

qwertykins76 22nd June 2013 11:49 PM

About 8 days from now then.

I wish blender files were supported by this, as I'm not a fan of sketchup :c. Otherwise I'd be making things by now.

I've seen levels go from blender to BB, can't it export to obj or something?

It refused to import any .obj files I made aside from the ones in Sketchup, so I assumed not unless that was a bug and they fixed it since I tried.

Wait, you tell me you no make BB levels, even though Blender export to .obj?

BB would not import .obj files from blender, only from sketchup. I don't know why, but every other 3D program I have exports .obj as well and none of them would work, even though the filetype was correct.

Gotcha.

Very strange.

Zy0n7 26th January 2014 03:04 PM

Can't you export o obj, import it in sketchup then just save it again?

This video shows a level made from scratch IN BLENDER and then imported into then Mumbo's Wand.

Smouvy 26th January 2014 10:07 PM

in fact, Blender is the preferred method of usage if Skill is anything to go by.

Starblazer 27th January 2014 07:08 AM

I hope the inevitable "Banjo-Threeie" ROM hack will come from this community-- it'd certainly make RWP at least somewhat exciting again. (Not that I don't love you guys or anything. <3)

DementedSun 27th January 2014 08:04 AM

I really wish I was on break or graduated from college now that I know this works. :I. I swear blender didn't work when I tried it back then. I know my .obj files would not import, at the very least.

EDIT: Could it have something to if the models were not triangles? That's the only thing I can think of.

Coolboyman 7th August 2014 09:30 PM

You all need to play this level: http://rarewarecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7715

The Colonel 7th August 2014 11:42 PM

Has anybody made a super duper hard mode romhack called Banjo-Kaizooie yet?

If not, it's a missed opportunity.
