New Beta Video found!

I found a video on youtube which has, to my knowledge, a couple minutes of unseen Banjo-Kazooie beta footage! Well, at least footage that hasn't made it around the internet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttZmyB0xu2s

It shows clips of the Musical Jam intro, Giant's Lair(new!), Mumbo's Mountain, Treasure Trove Cove, inside the Sand Castle, Banjo's beta jiggy dance, and more.

[Edit]
Cybernet video found by Coolboyman. The main thing to point out here is the bull near the lighthouse in Treasure Trove Cove:

Also, some unrelated E3 videos show that the theme for Click Clock Wood was in the E3 version of Banjo-Kazooie as well.

I prefer his old jiggy dance, how awesome!

OMG it is polish channel Polonia 1 and narrator is Tomasz Knapik. Beta stuff is cool!

There is english audio in the background, meaning an english version of this tape must exist somewhere.

I loooove the old Jiggy Dance! That would have been amazing :)

Edit: Oh, also: The Jinjos flew away differently. In this footage they jump and spin in the air, rather than fly around Banjo.

Very interesting stuff. I've never seen this before. :)

Snippets were red?

Jump pads were blue?!?

Holy crap!

Wait, there were two sizes of Bee Hives?

And I know it's probably been talked about before, but there was a thing where he was climbing up some ornate thing and it had doors like in Gruntys Lair with the knocker, also giant heads.

I'm not sure if he collected it, or was just standing next to it. However, you can see at around 2:12 he does indeed touch the jinjo, but it doesn't fly away.

No, it's showing two different versions of the game. The earlier one has the larger hives, and non-animated notes/eggs.

Yeah, this shows the front of the giant's lair. It was also seen in these pics:

By the looks of it there wasn't a lighthouse there in TTC, that or the lighthouse was made of the same texture.

runehero123 10th September 2009 09:35 PM

The lower part of the lighthouse is seen at 2:28. Plus a palm tree that isn't there in the retail version.

BanjoMaster 10th September 2009 09:39 PM

Wow, I got really excited. First time that's ever happened in the Banjo section of the forum
