Aha, I see. The game thinks you are playing the Tower of tragedy quiz so that timer thingy pops up. Thats my conclusion.

Xanity 13th July 2007 11:19 PM

Hmm, dats really strange... i think that can work to our advantage.

Oh dear god, your one of them...

Y'know, them. Those people that belive that anything and anything can link to Stop 'N' Swop? Yeah, them. I don't like being mean, but its just a glitch. Really, now, how can it help us?

And about the bolded word: L33t is generaly disliked on these forums, so dont use it. Things like 'Lol' and 'WTF' are Ok in moderation, though.

runehero123 14th July 2007 08:43 PM

Lol, fox is right, it's just a small glitch and has no connection to SNS. So we can toss it out without any regrets.

Like it or not guys, but the seagull-sound is also in DK64 :p Gloomy Galleon, to be exact..

I just found out, I have no idea if this has ever been posted before

runehero123 14th July 2007 09:18 PM

So... are you trying to say TTC, GG, and JRL are all connected in some sense? Of course, seagulls are very common in areas containing lots of water.

I'm not saying that, but it's just the fact that people get 'stuck' on Banjo-games. The seagull sounds are in DK64 too, so it shouldn't be that much of a deal...

runehero123 14th July 2007 10:01 PM

Okay, I see what your saying now. I agree, multiple evidence suggests it's just a glitch. That dang jukebox seems to create other types of glitches as well. Like the undead banjo glitch.

True.
Plus can't they use the same noise for the seagulls anyway? It is copyright to rare so im sure they just used it in DK randomly. Personally i dnt think its anything to do with SNS.

I have the PAL version of both BK and BT and i cnt hear the seagull glinch btw lol.

runehero123 15th July 2007 10:55 PM

I was just looking over the Rare patent and it seems to me that Figure 6 is here: http://v3.espacenet.com/textdraw?DB=...&QPN=US6820265 seems to be the best bet as to how BT and BK interact. The others figure 2, 3, 4, and 5 just don't make that much sense. This figure I believe shows that the games were definetly meant to be hotswapped, seeing as it says that a flag is set in the memory of the console. Figure 2 and 3 shows how the games would swap data via memory card because it says that the data is stored to "A memory". Also figure 5 is just swapping via a code given by the first program "banjo tooie" for "banjo kazooie" which makes no sense either. So figure 6 seems to be our best bet of how SNS actually worked. Memory card's are plausible but judging by the name Stop "n" Swop id be guessing you have to stop and swop.

StevethemasterX 17th July 2007 10:34 PM

dosent TTC, JRL, and GG all have places where a boat could sail out of the level on?

runehero123 18th July 2007 06:24 PM

JRL was a closed in area, so no. However, TTC in bk, and GG did.

StevethemasterX 19th July 2007 12:39 AM

actually use your imagination, i know JRL is closed in, but... have a close look at the end, there must be a rock thats removed there, thats how it was in fanfictions and sketches. i bet rareware wanted that to be open at a time.
