Pokemon Snap 2D
I've been working on a Pokemon Snap game. Like in Pokemon Snap itself, you go around taking pictures of Pokemon. This time however, it's in 2.5D and you can move freely instead of on a rail (because it would be almost impossible if it was.) Here it is:
http://www.yoyogames.com/games/155937-pokemon-snap-2d There are over 40 species of Pokemon. Some are in plain sight, some either come out or are identifiable by using pester balls, and some evolve. You have 40 film. Once you run out of film, you will be scored on how many Pokemon you find, rather than pictures being rated. CONTROLS Arrow Keys - Move Enter - Take photo Spacebar - Throw pester ball |
Cool. I remember loving the old Pokemon Snap for the 64. I might try this out.

Your GameMaker skills make me jealous sometimes, you know that, Lemur?

Pretty cool, man. It's very obviously in the working stages, but I liked what I played. Just a suggestion: When Onix comes falling back down, maybe you should make the rocks that fly up brown and not red, as it looks a bit like blood...... Scared me a bit. :P

I added a cave stage, although I should have finished it before uploading. :-/

hmm,"this game's still being virus scanned",holy shit,is that just me?

EDIT: Wait, what? It's been virus scanning all night! It usually takes a few minutes. Guess I have to reupload it. |
Their servers may be busy right now

Bump, update. The score screen is much better now. Now Professor Oak is there and tells you how you're doing with your progress. I've also added many more Pokemon, and a new stage. It's called River, but it's way more of a forest than a river...

Are the levels made in the program, or externally?

Ah well. Still, looks like some great things can be done with that.
