It may not be Fungus forest any more, but it is still in the woods. We have Background Tree confirmation in Click Clock Wood Spring. But exactly where in the level I have not yet pinpointed.
Edit: Scratch that, I've pinpointed it! The new location is the Click Clock Wood Lobby facing the Spring entrance. If you can wait a bit I can get a snap shot of the location from Project 64.
