You're right. In fact, it's probably even a bit off-topic since by nature of the game not being out yet that means we can't be playing it. That being said, I find it to be quite homely here and I just finished unpacking this post so it would be a hassle to pack it back up again.
Anyways, as far as I'm aware this is the first time Sonic 3 is getting a port which isn't just the original ROM wrapped in an emulator. It also looks like we're also getting the Sonic 1 and 2 enhanced versions on a non-mobile phone platform now too. We can finally enjoy Sonic 2 with proper wide screen support and 60fps special stages without having to use garbage touchscreen controls. The 2 and CD mobile versions also threw in some re-imagined scrapped content so I wonder if they'll do the same with 3. Perhaps we'll see an updated version of the PC soundtrack.
