By the way, Kazooie actually DOES hint of more eggs being in Banjo-Kazooie. Go watch the cut scene where Mumbo shows you the eggs N ice key. Right before Mumbo reveals the Blue egg in Gobis valley Kazooie asks what the ice-key and eggS are for. That's right, eggs are in plural even though Mumbo only showed you the pink egg. Whether this was intentional or not, I dunno.
It says eggS in the cutscene when only 1 has been shown. It hints at more eggs.
Basically it had just shown you only one egg so far in the scene and then it hints at more than one.
