It seems that to navigate the second floor, you have to hop around those statues. I wonder how you get up to the third floor though, which is the most mysterious.

I'm not sure if he collected it, or was just standing next to it. However, you can see at around 2:12 he does indeed touch the jinjo, but it doesn't fly away.
