Stop N' Swap was DLC for the N64, therefore, it was incredible back then. Right now? Not so much, but it's still amazing how they almost had a way of transferring data on such an old console.

It is amazing how something seemingly meaningless can spark a decade-long mystery. I'm scared the truth is probably something wayyyyyyy more simpler than the ornate theories I've seen.

I keep picturing SnS as this simple thing in BT, and then getting some kind of message from Rare, like "There! Happy now? This is what you've been harassing us about for 10 years! Was it worth it?!"

I never noticed the Ice Key, either. But I have figured out Stop 'n' Swop and gotten all the items in Kazooie and Tooie. I am guilty of experimenting with the "mysteries" in Tooie, such as trying to get a Clockwork Kazooie Egg to the Flume of Doom or the Quagmire train tracks, trying to get a CK Egg past the rocks in Gruntilda's Lair, and trying to figure out getting past the Quagmire door. I even followed the Hag 1's digger tracks in hopes of finding a secret entrance to somewhere; all I found was an immovable door in Cauldron Keep.
I really just hope BTXBLA will finally solve the age-old mystery and not disappoint us again. |

I noticed ice key during BK playing but i just thought that it was for later part in game (that maybe ice key will open door to final boss). I remember that i was shocked when i first time read about ICE KEY text in DK64.

I got the items in Banjo-Tooie thanks to a player's guide but I never really realized their connection to Banjo-Kazooie, even when it told me, since I was young.

Yeah, even if the original SnS plan is recreated in its entirety it's probably going to be (and would have been) far more disappointing than the hype would indicate it to be. And who's responsible for the hype? Oh yeah, we are. It's a funny old world.
