Yeah I don't normally stick with Souls games or open world games, but Elden Ring is in my head. I wanna jump back in and run around and explore in a way that other games just don't hit. I'm thinking about it during my work day, I want to play so bad.

I haven't played Elden Ring because currently I only have a Switch, but I'm prepared to give it a 10/10 anyway thanks entirely to "Try finger but hole."
I did preorder a Steam Deck so maybe I'll play it there. Heard that version is buggy as hell though.

Jumped back onto my Tetris bullshit. Have been finding a lot of joy in practicing different versions (disciplines I kinda wanna call them tbh). ATM I am working on Classic Tetris and trying to get comfortable surviving at the starting speed for the World Championships. Also playing some modern Tetris on tetr.io in the hopes of competing in a tournament soon.
Also the long list of all the games I pick up for a week or two and then forget about for a couple of months oof

I dunno who else has played the Yakuza games but I've spent the last 10 months playing through them (10 months as in 1 month of starting 0, 8 months of forgetting it's on my computer, and another month playing the first 3 games every day). Literally never thought I'd get into a game with beat 'em up style combat but the idea of a legendary ex-yakuza who plays Pocket Circuit against children with such an intense and competitive demeanor is just too good to not love.
Only problem's been that my computer can't run Kiwami 2 very well since it's a more recent release so that's kept me from playing more.

Omg I never anticipated getting sucked into the Pocket Circuit mini-game as much as I did. Adjusting my cars stats and getting frustrated at having to menu after a race was initially tiresome, but then I remember how proud Kiryu looks after winning and it made it all worth it.
Also the bloody hostess minigame in 0 fit the minigame timesink to a T. Which style were you using the most playing through 0 and Kiwami? I haven't gotten onto Kiwami 2 yet, still plodding my way through 1.

In 0 I stuck with Breaker for Kiryu and Slugger for Majima. The other two styles for Kiryu felt either too weak or too slow (unless there's a motorcycle nearby in which case I'm absolutely gonna smash them with it with my superhuman strength).
How has the combat in Kiwami 1 seemed to you so far? I played medium difficulty in both 0 and 1 but I had a much harder time in a lot of fights. Dragon style felt weak and useless most of the game, even after basically completing the Majima fights and I had to constantly switch between styles. Anyways if you keep playing, I bet you'll like Kiwami 2 when you get to it, they made a lot of quality-of-life changes to the mechanics that make it feel more modern.

I feel like the combat has been not too bad, but I min-maxed fairly hard from the start in focusing on the rush style and then using the Majima Everywhere fights to boost up my health/attack damage. I agree with you on the Dragon style, I keep working on it hoping it will end up being really cool but never quite clicks for me. I'm pumped to see the quality of life changes. I am playing through Yakuza 6 at the same time on PS4, and that blew me away in terms of QoL. No loading screens when going into stores was game changing.

I've been off and on playing Pokemon Legends Arceus still. Finished the main story at 60 hours but I've spent a lot of time doing Dex work and side quests. I still have just about all the post-game story to do.

^ same on Poke Legends even though I've had my attention on Elden Ring, Legends has become a very relaxing game to complete in spurts.
Still have the whole post-game to do as well but I'm in no rush.

My roommate got me a raspberry pi 4 and I was able to get Retropie running on it. The plan is to hook it up in the living room and have a mini-console for folks to play at their leisure. So far it's been pretty neat and I'm surprised how easy it's been to set up, relatively speaking.
