Help a brotha out.
Hi guys! it's been a long time since I've made a thread.
I'm currently living at China and surprisingly, there are many Japanese 3ds special editions available on the brick and mortar stores. so, my question is: are there any disadvantages on purchasing a Jap 3ds vs an american one?(the language is not a problem) is it possible to unblock the regions? are there any Japanese exclusive titles that are a must have?

Well I found this...
Japanese releases: + Largest software library + First releases - Very high cost for importing games if you’re not in Japan - Many U.S. games not localized - Japanese language required North American Releases: + Largest English-language library + Lowest day-one prices across all software - Nintendo of America and select [third-party publishers] suck at localizing stuff I found this information @ http://tinycartridge.com/post/276416...3ds-games-from ....so maybe that could help you make your decision a little easier. I tend to absolutely love Japanese games so I'd probably go for the one from Japan personally. Also in terms of cool games, I've never played any of these particular ones but I'd totally play the crap outta' every one of the games on this list of unlocalized Japanese games. http://www.nintendojo.com/features/c...-see-localized I also found this article at geek.com which seems to be about the 'region unlocking' you asked about. http://www.geek.com/games/nintendo-3...hcard-1581510/

Wow! thank you very much, that was really helpful.
considering that the 2 major disadvantages don't apply to me, I'll definitively fetch a japanese 3ds, yeah!
