The painting in Banjo's house
THis is not a theory but a question. Is the painting in Banjo's house with banjo standing in a forest based on Fungus Forest? Or is it just a random forest?

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed to be FF in Tepid Seat/Scribes/whatever.

As far as I know, it was a very early shot of FF.

I guess you could say that, but the corridor looks so small... I don't know where in Fungus Forest that would be.

Well noone knows what the level would have loooked like, so it could just be a random area.

For all we know, it may not have been an in-game picture of the level, but maybe just a drawn concept picture as an Easter-egg or something that they had left over.

Mm, considering the Banjo in the picture seems to be the in-game character model, I find that unlikely.

Mabye it's Banjo walking around in the opening song area.

I don't know why Banjo would be walking around in the opening song sequence, unless..
THEORY TIME! Maybe the beta opening of Banjo-Kazooie was originally part of the game's story intro (in place of Tooty getting kidnapped in Spiral Mountain, Piccolo would in the park), therefore the opening song area would have probably been a playable area where Banjo's house was-giving it a more realistic, yet not as cool, length away from Gruntilda's lair-and entered into Spiral Mountain from, let's say, the right of the park, coming out into Spiral Mountain where Banjo's house is in the finalized version. I doubt the picture in Banjo's house is the park, but it could be. The reason I suspect the rest of what I do in my theory is because of this, possibly inaccurate article: http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...g?t=1242767915 And this beta picture of the original opening: http://www.unseen64.net/wp-content/g...anjobeta28.jpg It would also make sense, considering if Banjo's house was originally in this opening area-which, and I doubt this very much considering other evidence, could have been Fungus Forest-then it would make sense to put a picture of it in the finalized version (just as Boggy had a picture of his first house in his new house in Tooie). |
