Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts. It's going to be a decade old this year and Kazooie two decades old and I feel like I'm going to turn to dust any second.
I replayed Kazooie and did 100% in just over 5 hours. Replayed Tooie and it's somehow gotten even worse with age. Didn't even bother to get all of the Jiggies. Bolts is still as fun as ever. It's not perfect, but it's a good Banjo game and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

I've been playing the Police Quest series. I'm on 2 right now. Only in a Sierra adventure game can stopping a terrorist plane hijack and disarming their bomb be more intuitive than getting a piece of paper out of a dead guy's hand.

Started the original Bayonetta on Switch. I really suck at this game.

I remember really wanting to give that game a try when it first came out, but was disappointed it never made it here to the states.
I've played through Robo Army recently. A nice side scrolling beat 'em up about robots kidnapping people to use their brains as a fuel source. It was decent, but didn't do much different than other side scrolling beat 'em ups other than the fact you can turn into a buggy.

I'm playing Ys. Everyone said the final boss in Ys 1 would be super hard, but I beat it in like three tries. The guy that turns into bats was much harder.

you might wanna give it more time, it's fully playable but very uneven since a lot of dialog reads a lot more awkwardly than others and there are a few areas and scenes that aren't translated at all, including the ending slides what i hate about the game is that like half of it is just slowly walking across the entire island multiple times because once you get deeper into it the later character quests make you do that a lot and nick's walking speed is insanely slow and the game doesn't give you any shortcuts, and on top of that shooting star nights just end up wasting a lot of time because they boil down into being the same thing even though you have to do them 9 times to even reach the ending. the part i do like is that for any of its weirder bits of writing, there's a lot of genuinely cool stuff with a bunch of characters and the game overall ends up feeling like this oddly personal story from kenichi nishi about failure and obscurity and how it's better than aiming for being a break-out success if it's what you have to do to stay true to who you are, which hits pretty hard considering the dude directed four games in his life by that point that were all major flops with passionate cult fanbases and praised for their inventiveness it also has a really good soundtrack Last edited by The Colonel; 19th February 2018 at 05:06 PM. |

Acceleration of Suguri 2 is in a free open beta right now on Steam if you want to give it a try. It's like a shooter but it's a fighting game. It's pretty neat but it has a bit of a learning curve.

Mario Odyssey! Wow! What a great game. Just got a Switch the other day and am loving it so far, even though I only have Odyssey so far. Getting Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, though, so that'll be nice too.

And then no one heard from DC for several months after that, as he lost all contact with the outside world.
